The Blood-Armored Guards nearby wore equally disdainful expressions as they murmured among themselves in low voices.
Not far away, several thousand Dog Demons had already begun gathering rapidly. One after another, they leaped into the air and bounded toward Bear Martial City.
Terrifying green demon aura blanketed the entire city, making Bear Martial City seem as though it had transformed into a Demon Domain.
An atmosphere of terror instantly spread throughout the city. Though hundreds of thousands of civilians hid in their homes, the dense demon aura still frightened them into trembling.
"D-Demon aura! Such heavy demon aura! It's over—the Demon Race has launched its final assault!"
"You stay here. I'm going out to fight the Demon Race! Either way, we're dead! Even if I die, I'll bite a chunk of flesh out of those demons' mouths!"

Inside a dilapidated house, an elderly couple with wrinkled faces hid beneath their bed. The old woman trembled violently, while the old man gritted his teeth, clutching a kitchen knife as he crawled out from beneath the bed and charged straight outside. A moment later, the old woman followed him out.
"Mother, are we going to die?"
Inside a dark cellar, a five-year-old boy looked fearfully at a woman in plain hemp clothing.
"Niu'er, don't be afraid. On the road to the Yellow Springs, Mother will be with you."
