East Sea coast.
Low, dark clouds blanketed the entire sky. No light seeped through the chaotic cloud layers, and faint lightning churned within them.
Beneath the clouds, the seawater resembled a roaring, rolling black beast, howling as it surged dozens of meters high, as if it were about to connect with the clouds.
The howling gale swept across the coastline. Even trees thick enough for several people to encircle were torn up by the roots and hurled into cafés across the street.
Wave after wave crashed ashore, pounding the empty streets. The spray seemed capable of swallowing a skyscraper whole as seawater flooded the crisscrossing roads, and wind and rain engulfed half the city.
It was like the end of the world!
By then, all residents within five kilometers of the coastline had evacuated. Lines of warning tape cordoned off the shore, only to snap under the impact of the seawater and be swallowed by the sea.

"This scene... is far more terrifying than those disaster movies." One man could not help speaking. "What on earth could cause a disaster on this scale? This has to be 'Klein' at the very least, right?"
"'Klein'? Are you kidding?" The man beside him shook his head. "This isn't just one city. More than a dozen cities along the East Sea coast have all become this way. Even 'Klein' couldn't possibly do this..."
The man seemed to realize something. "You mean, this is..."
Just then, a stern voice sounded in everyone's earpieces.
"Target sighted! I repeat, target sighted!! No one is to act rashly. Do not attempt to attack the target. Do not do anything unnecessary. Maintain radio silence!
