A sudden boom echoed through the cavern as a metal coffin lid flew out, sending the surrounding rats scattering in all directions. In the middle of the open space, a silver-white metal case lay silently like a coffin.
Icy white mist poured from the coffin. Moments later, a pale arm suddenly reached out, gripping its side as a naked figure slowly rose from within.
The figure lowered his head and looked at his hands. A gray glint appeared in his eyes as he murmured,
"Finally... it's complete."
He stepped out of the coffin, casually picked up the clothes on the operating table beside him, put them on, then adjusted his glasses. Walking over to a cluster of instruments, he carefully examined their readings.
After a long while, a faint smile appeared on his face.
He raised his head and looked at the weak sunlight spilling down from the top of the cavern, narrowing his eyes slightly as though he still could not adapt to its brightness.
"It's time to leave."
"A suspected Mystery has appeared?"
Inside Heping Agency, Hong Ying raised her head and looked at Wen Qimo in surprise.
"The aftermath of the God War is still lingering. There shouldn't be any Mysteries appearing..."
Wen Qimo helplessly handed the documents in his hand to Hong Ying. "Captain, would I make something like this up? These are files transferred over from the police. The rats in the eastern district have become a disaster. That isn't something a natural phenomenon could cause."
Hong Ying took the documents and read through them carefully, suspicion appearing in her eyes.
"Then let's go take a look first."
Half an hour later, a black van slowly pulled up outside a newly built factory in the eastern district.
