Lin Qiye asked in confusion.
The man nodded. "Yes. Please, follow me."
With that, he made an inviting gesture and led the four of them through the hall toward a concealed elevator in the back.
The other guests in the hall looked even more astonished at the sight. They were all representatives from major corporations, prominent figures in the business world, yet even they had not received such treatment. Just who were these four young people?
Lin Qiye and the others followed the man into the elevator. He first entered a password and verified his fingerprint on the smart control panel, then directly pressed the button for the 101st floor.
The elevator moved in utter silence. As the red numbers continued to climb, their distance from the ground rapidly increased.
When the string of numbers finally stopped at the 101st floor, the elevator doors slowly opened.
Beyond them lay a broad gray corridor filled with an air of luxury.
Lin Qiye and the others followed the man out of the elevator and walked straight down the corridor. An unknown velvet carpet lay beneath their feet, making no sound at all when stepped upon. Warm yellow ambient lighting spilled down from above, neither dim nor glaring, making them feel immensely comfortable.
They walked through the corridor for a full five minutes, passing countless rooms before finally reaching its end.
The man arrived at the door at the end of the corridor and successively verified his fingerprint, iris, and work ID. Only then did the heavy door slowly open, revealing an enormous space three stories high.
Click, click, click...
As the door opened, the lights on the ceiling switched on one after another. Beams of light shone down from above, clearly illuminating the densely packed display cases below.
