Guangshen City.
A light rain fell.
Molly walked out of the crowded high-speed rail station and looked around.
Today, she looked a little different from usual.
She wore a beautiful goose-yellow dress. Her long black hair had been carefully braided with a strip of red silk. On her feet were a pair of spotless white canvas shoes, and a cute Pigsy charm hung from the black crossbody bag at her waist, swaying gently in the wind.
Amid the chaotic crowd, she was breathtakingly beautiful.
Splash...
The fine rain fell onto the road before her, sending ripples across puddles. Beneath the dim sky, pedestrians hurried past her like a tide.
She waited there for a long time, but the person she was waiting for never came.
She pursed her lips slightly. After hesitating for a moment, she opened the transparent umbrella in her hand, carefully avoiding every puddle as she headed toward the bus stop not far away.
Even after she boarded the bus, those little white shoes remained clean and pristine.
"Scan successful!"
She put her phone back into her bag and looked around the bus.
There were not many people on this bus, and there were plenty of empty seats. She casually walked to a window seat in the second-to-last row, then sat down and stared blankly out the window.
The bus slowly started moving.
Fine raindrops were swept onto the window by the wind, gradually sliding toward the rear of the bus and leaving tiny beads of water behind. The view outside the window grew increasingly blurred.
The driver turned on the music, and a soothing, melodious tune echoed through the bus.
"Heavens...
Are you secretly laughing at me?
You knew I still lacked the strength to protect her,
Yet you let us meet..."
Molly withdrew her gaze
