Chapter Summaries

Yurina Takishiro arrived at an air-raid shelter and killed the bull Corpse Beast despite his failing body. The survivors blamed him for their losses and hurled stones at him as he walked away, still intent on searching for something.

• Yurina Takishiro used a Counter Shield and the Cyberpunk Long Spear to kill the bull Corpse Beast, his forty-first kill.
• After the battle, Yurina Takishiro collapsed and spat out blood as the shelter residents emerged amid the aftermath of their infighting.
• The woman Yurina Takishiro had saved shoved him down and blamed him for arriving too late to save her infant.
• Yurina Takishiro ignored the woman's abuse and walked away; another resident angrily demanded that he find a missing son, but he refused.
• The residents cursed Yurina Takishiro and threw stones at him, while he continued onward in search of something.

Yurina Takishiro found hope when a little girl offered her an umbrella, then killed the hidden Corpse Beast before collapsing unconscious. As new beasts appeared and the crowd turned toward a newcomer’s McLaren, a young man in a Crimson Cloak stepped out and saw Yurina lying in the girl’s arms.

• A little girl shielded Yurina Takishiro with a bright-yellow umbrella and told her that the White-robed God would protect them.
• Yurina Takishiro embraced the girl and used the Cyberpunk Long Spear to reveal and kill a concealed Corpse Beast.
• Yurina Takishiro lost consciousness, and the crowd feared she had died as blood-red cracks reopened in the sky.
• Residents began threatening a young man for his McLaren, but he ignored them and stared at Yurina Takishiro.

Lin Qiye arrived in Osaka and found Yurina Takishiro unconscious after the locals had attacked and insulted him. He forced the crowd to kneel before Yurina Takishiro, then left to fight the approaching Corpse Beasts with help from three summoned orderlies.

• Lin Qiye killed the men who attacked him and made the crowd part to reach Yurina Takishiro.
• Lin Qiye examined Yurina Takishiro and found that his genetic defect had returned and his life force was fading, leaving him to wait for An Qingyu's medicine.
• Lin Qiye used Tyrant's Wrath to force the crowd to kneel before Yurina Takishiro until he woke up or they died.
• Lin Qiye flew toward the two Corpse Beasts and summoned a green Giant Snake, Crimson Eye Black Pupil, and a lantern-carrying evil ghost.
• Black Pupil introduced himself as No. 007 and pledged to serve Lin Qiye.

Lin Qiye began drawing a forbidden magic array over Osaka while three caregivers fought the Corpse Beasts. On Mount Fuji, Amamiya Haruki’s group found Mountain of Burial, but its blade soul revealed it was fused with the mountain, and Hoshimi Shota’s fox-eared companion offered to try pulling it free.

• Lin Qiye sent three Boundless caregivers to attack the two Corpse Beasts and began tracing a massive Magic Array over Osaka with Zhanbai.
• Amamiya Haruki, Hoshimi Shota, Yurina, and Koyuan Yoshiki climbed Mount Fuji as chaos and corruption spread through the city below.
• Yurina followed the paper cranes to Mountain of Burial, whose hilt protruded from the snow near the summit crater.
• Amamiya Haruki and Koyuan Yoshiki failed to pull out Mountain of Burial, and its blade soul explained that it had fused with Mount Fuji after an ancient battle between gods.
• Hoshimi Shota’s fox-eared companion emerged and offered to try pulling out the blade.

Lin Qiye activated the Heart of Purification in Osaka and used the forbidden spell Black Sun Sacrifice to destroy the Corpse Beasts drawn to it. He established Osaka as a killing ground, but knew the spell could not keep pace with the endless arrivals.

• Lin Qiye finished carving a vast Magic Array and had Black Pupil and the other orderlies place Corpse Beast remains at its center as fuel.
• Lin Qiye activated the Heart of Purification, drawing Corpse Beasts across the Human Circle toward Osaka.
• Lin Qiye summoned Black Sun Sacrifice as three Corpse Beasts approached and killed them with a beam from the black sun.
• Lin Qiye repeatedly fired the black sun at incoming Corpse Beasts while the orderlies gathered their remains to fuel the spell.
• Lin Qiye recognized that the Corpse Beasts would keep arriving and could eventually overwhelm the forbidden spell.

Lin Qiye faced an overwhelming horde of Corpse Beasts as survivors recognized him as one of the Blasphemers and blamed him for the ruined world. Baili Pangpang, Mad Demon Cao Yuan, An Qingyu, and Shen Qingzhu arrived to help, and Lin Qiye sent An Qingyu to save the unconscious Yurina Takishiro before asking Shen Qingzhu for assistance.

• Survivors recognized Lin Qiye as a Blasphemer and accused him and the others of bringing calamity upon the world.
• As at least seventeen Corpse Beasts converged on Osaka and strained the Black Sun Sacrifice, Lin Qiye prepared to fight them himself.
• Baili Pangpang and Mad Demon Cao Yuan plunged into the horde and began destroying Corpse Beasts.
• An Qingyu and Shen Qingzhu arrived, and An Qingyu brought Lin Qiye the meditation cushion he had requested.
• Lin Qiye directed An Qingyu to examine and save Yurina Takishiro, then told Shen Qingzhu he had a task for him.

Shen Qingzhu’s voice reached Osaka’s residents and the Black Killer Group, while Lin Qiye and An Qingyu saved Yurina Takishiro and treated his genetic defect. Lin Qiye warned that the Red Moon’s corruption would keep people fighting and said they needed an even greater evil to frighten them into stopping.

• Abandoned screens and radios across Osaka powered on, and Shen Qingzhu announced that he needed help.
• Imori Hiroshi and the Black Killer Group recognized Shen Qingzhu’s voice and celebrated his return.
• An Qingyu treated Yurina Takishiro, explaining that the medicine could repair his genetic defect but could not restore his lost lifespan.
• Yurina Takishiro woke, learned Lin Qiye and An Qingyu had saved him, and asked about the people in the Human Circle.

Lin Qiye amplified Tyrant’s Wrath with the meditation cushion until it covered the entire Human Circle, forcing nearly fifty million people to kneel and ending their violence. As the Black Killer Group helped Shen Qingzhu collect Corpse Beast remains in Osaka, the battle there intensified, and Lu Wuwei rode toward approaching Klein-realm Corpse Beasts.

• Lin Qiye sat on the steel throne above Osaka and used the meditation cushion to amplify Tyrant’s Wrath across the Human Circle.
• The domain forced people across the Human Circle to their knees, stopping their violence and bringing the region to silence.
• Black Killer Group members arrived with Corpse Beast remains and helped Shen Qingzhu’s group supply the Magic Array.
• The Black Sun Sacrifice fired on the Corpse Beast assault as Osaka remained a battlefield under Tyrant’s Wrath.

Lu Wuwei destroyed charging Corpse Beasts with his delivery, while Warrior Princess forcibly pulled Mountain of Burial from Mount Fuji. The story left Mount Fuji badly damaged and Warrior Princess holding the blade.

• Lu Wuwei struck a Corpse Beast with one hand, then delivered pizzas marked for the beasts with death, causing them to explode.
• Lin Qiye sensed a familiar Human Apex aura approaching but could not see its source.
• Warrior Princess told Amamiya Haruki, Hoshimi Shota, Yurina, and Koyuan Yoshiki to retreat before attempting to pull Mountain of Burial free.
• Warrior Princess's strength shook Mount Fuji and opened enormous fissures across the mountain.
• Warrior Princess pulled Mountain of Burial from the summit, leaving Mount Fuji scarred and partly collapsed, then descended with the blade.

After Warrior Princess pulled Mountain of Burial from Mount Fuji, a Corpse God born from the Heavenly God's corrupted corpse emerged and attacked the group. Amamiya Haruki sent the others to escape with the Magatsu Blades and prepared to hold the giant off with Rain Collapse.

• Warrior Princess tossed Mountain of Burial to Amamiya Haruki, and the mountain began shaking again as a black pillar of light erupted from its crater.
• Amamiya Haruki realized a powerful Corpse God had formed from the Heavenly God's corpse beneath Mount Fuji, and the group fled down the mountainside.
• The Corpse God emerged and fired a devastating red beam at the fleeing group, injuring Amamiya Haruki with flying rubble.
• Amamiya Haruki gave Yurina the wooden box of Magatsu Blades and ordered her and Koyuan Yoshiki to escape while he stayed behind.
• Amamiya Haruki drew Rain Collapse as torrential rain began falling over Mount Fuji.

Amamiya Haruki entered the Rain God state and attacked the Corpse God while Yurina and Koyuan Yoshiki fled downhill. Warrior Princess sent Hoshimi Shota to safety before joining Amamiya in battle, where she stopped the Corpse God from crushing him.

• Amamiya Haruki merged with the blade spirit and charged at the Corpse God, burning through his lifespan in the Rain God state.
• Yurina pulled Koyuan Yoshiki downhill and used an E-Class Item, Pager Handle, while warning him about Amamiya's sacrifice.
• Warrior Princess persuaded Hoshimi Shota to run down the mountain, promising to explain why she chose him as her blade master if he reached safety within ten minutes.
• Warrior Princess charged toward the summit as Amamiya Haruki struck the Corpse God with Rain Collapse and was smashed into the mountainside.

Yurina Takishiro learned that his sister was in danger and rushed to help her despite not having fully recovered. At the Yata no Kagami breach, Wu Xiangnan revealed his plan to use the Origin to gain the power needed to kill Susanoo, even if it cost him his life.

• Yurina Takishiro received a warning that his sister was in danger, and An Qingyu reluctantly let him leave despite his incomplete recovery.
• Lu Wuwei noticed Yurina flying past and wondered where King Mask was after completing his search for Lin Qiye.
• Wu Xiangnan led King Mask through the Yata no Kagami breach to a temple containing a sphere of Origin.
• Wu Xiangnan explained that the Origin's impurities would kill King Mask, but he could absorb them through repeated deaths and rebirths.
• Wu Xiangnan told King Mask he would use the Origin's law to deliver a fatal blow to Susanoo, even if doing so made him dissolve into the Dao.

Wu Xiangnan repeatedly absorbed the silver origin, dying and regenerating as black impurities were expelled from his body. At Mount Fuji, the Corpse God revealed its power as Ōyamatsumi and trapped Amamiya Haruki and the Warrior Princess inside a crushing sphere of stone.

• Wu Xiangnan asked King Mask to kill him after he absorbed as much of the silver origin as he could, and King Mask beheaded him.
• Wu Xiangnan regenerated as the origin expelled black impurities, then reached for the silver sphere again.
• Amamiya Haruki and the Warrior Princess attacked the Corpse God, but it reshaped its wound into a snapping mouth and unleashed divine power.
• The Warrior Princess identified the Corpse God as Ōyamatsumi, a Heavenly God reborn with its powers intact.
• Ōyamatsumi lifted Mount Fuji and the surrounding land into the sky, while Yurina used paper cranes to carry Koyuan Yoshiki and Hoshimi Shota to safety.

Amamiya Haruki and the Warrior Princess were gravely injured while protecting each other from the Corpse God, but Yurina Takishiro arrived in time to interrupt its attack. After Hoshimi Shota caught the Warrior Princess and heard her promise to tell him everything, Yurina faced the Corpse God, furious and intent on fighting it.

• Amamiya Haruki lost consciousness as the Corpse God fired a destructive beam, and the Warrior Princess rescued him before taking the full force of its attack.
• Yurina Takishiro struck the Corpse God with a Cyberpunk Long Spear, deflecting its beam and saving the Warrior Princess from being erased.
• Koyuan Yoshiki caught Amamiya Haruki while Hoshimi Shota caught the badly wounded Warrior Princess, shielding her as they tumbled down the mountainside.
• Paper cranes carried Hoshimi Shota and the Warrior Princess to safety, where she told him he had done well and promised to explain everything.

Yurina Takishiro attacked the Corpse God with the Blood Gauge Reaper inside a domain that weakened its mountain powers. Meanwhile, Jinian delayed destroying the Human Circle to give its people a final chance to survive, even as contamination spread and the Sword of Extreme Evil stood ready.

• Yurina Takishiro summoned the SS-rank Blood Gauge Reaper and opened Yama's Hell to weaken the Corpse God.
• Yurina Takishiro struck the Corpse God with the scythe, reducing its health by one percent and provoking its wrath.
• The Knight told Jinian that the Sword of Extreme Evil was ready and that contamination had forced seventy-two Shang Xie Association members into isolation, leaving fewer than forty.
• The Knight warned Jinian that the Yata no Kagami would soon be fully contaminated and asked why she was waiting.
• Jinian chose to wait until the last possible moment so the people in the Human Circle could still be saved.

As Corpse Beasts overwhelmed Osaka and the Red Moon’s contamination pushed the Human Circle toward collapse, Lin Qiye struggled to protect the crowd. At Mount Fuji, the Warrior Princess’s body was mortally wounded, and Amamiya Haruki prepared to reach for the Magatsu Blade as the battle against the Corpse God continued.

• Baili Pangpang, An Qingyu, and Shen Qingzhu fought the growing horde of Corpse Beasts, while An Qingyu explained that Jiang Er’s abilities could not affect them.
• Lin Qiye sensed that people driven completely mad by the Red Moon were mutilating themselves despite Tyrant’s Wrath, threatening casualties among the crowd.
• The wounded Warrior Princess told Hoshimi Shota that she had stayed by his side through his reincarnations and would always be his Warrior Princess alone.
• Koyue Yuki explained that the Warrior Princess would survive as a blade soul but lose her physical body and her ability to remain by Hoshimi Shota’s side.
• Amamiya Haruki revealed that a blade soul could gain freedom only if it voluntarily separated from its blade body, then reached toward the Magatsu Blade as Yurina Takishiro fought the Corpse God.

Amamiya Haruki began joining the Nine Calamity Blades through a blood sacrifice, but his injured body could not withstand their power. Yurina trapped him and took his place, embedding Rain Collapse and Warrior Princess into the blood pool as the blades’ union continued.

• Amamiya Haruki embedded Duo E, Mountain of Burial, Black Rope, Bewildering Pupil, and Flame Sparrow in the blood pool, linking their auras and suffering under their power.
• Koyue Yuki explained that joining the nine blades required a living sacrifice, and Yurina realized that someone with royal blood would have to take that role.
• Yurina seized Rain Collapse, used Thousand Cranes to bind Amamiya Haruki, and took the other blades from Hoshimi Shota and Koyuan Yoshiki.
• Yurina cut her palm and fed her blood to the pool, then embedded Rain Collapse and Warrior Princess as the seventh and fourth blades were named.

Yurina sacrificed the nine Magatsu Blades to break through the Yata no Kagami and create a divine artifact. The blade souls saved her by making her its new Spirit of the Artifact, and she ended the chapter poised to create a world.

• Yurina plunged the Ninth Blade, Kamikakushi, into the final gap in the ring of Magatsu Blades, completing the ritual.
• The pillar of light erased the surrounding land, broke through the Yata no Kagami, and began forming a divine blade.

Jinian and the Nightfall Squad witnessed the destruction of the Human Circle and the collapse of the Yata no Kagami, freeing the souls trapped within. Lin Qiye led the squad back to real Japan, where they realized Mr. Lu was missing.

• Jinian watched the Golden Threads carry the City of Extreme Evil's residents into the blade world, then ordered the knight to begin.
• The Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi plunged through the pixel platforms and pierced the Yata no Kagami, causing the sea and the Human Circle to collapse and releasing its imprisoned souls.
• Jinian and the knight escaped aboard the Pixel Cruise Ship as it sank beneath the turbulent sea.
• In Osaka, Lin Qiye woke and led the Nightfall Squad through a gap in the sky on his Somersault Cloud as the Human Circle disintegrated.
• The squad returned to real Japan and joked about their earlier rides before realizing Mr. Lu was missing.

Lu Wuwei drove through the collapsing Yata no Kagami to find the last person required to complete Zuo Qing’s order. Wu Xiangnan absorbed the Solar Origin and prepared to awaken Solar Law, while Lin Qiye realized King Mask had sent Baili Pangpang back in time to preserve the nine Magatsu Blades.

• Lu Wuwei drove into the shattered depths of the Yata no Kagami, determined to find one more person before completing Zuo Qing’s order.
• Wu Xiangnan absorbed the final trace of Solar Origin and died for the thirty-third time at King Mask’s hand, then resurrected with the fusion near completion.
• Wu Xiangnan said one more resurrection would let him briefly nurture Solar Law, and he put on Blue Rain’s uniform before leaving with King Mask.
• Lin Qiye explained that the nine Magatsu Blades could combine into an artifact capable of cleaving open Takama-ga-hara.
