Ch. 1224Seeing Through the Deception

Lin Qiye discovered that No. 22 was slaughtering Wucheng residents to fuel wishes from the Holy Grail, and Gilgamesh’s worsening episode seemed connected to the city. No. 22 exposed Lin Qiye’s disguise, recognized him as the Dual God Agent, and the two began fighting over the Holy Grail and scepter.

  • Monkey King punched Gilgamesh repeatedly, but Gilgamesh remained trapped in a delusion and vowed to kill anyone who harmed Uruk’s people.
  • Lin Qiye sensed Gilgamesh’s episode and saw Wucheng burning, then hurried to the city and found its streets filled with corpses and fleeing residents.
  • No. 22 used blood sacrifices to the Holy Grail to remove a divine mark from his body and prepare another wish.
  • Lin Qiye disguised himself as Miles and confronted No. 22, who revealed that he had used the Holy Grail to expose Lin Qiye’s true appearance.
  • Lin Qiye and No. 22 attacked each other, and No. 22 recognized Lin Qiye as the Dual God Agent before boasting about his two Supreme divine artifacts.

Ch. 1225Bifatu

Lin Qiye fled No. 22’s scepter while using summoned spirits to drain the Holy Grail’s wishes. Bifatu arrived, rejected both men’s offers to join forces, and revealed he had removed his divine mark himself.

  • Lin Qiye escaped No. 22’s golden ripples with Night Flicker and led him on a chase across Wucheng.
  • Lin Qiye summoned Yuki-onna and the Spirit of the Pen, but No. 22 used the Holy Grail to disperse them, consuming one wish.
  • Bifatu arrived carrying the King's Treasure Sword, and No. 22 proposed that they capture Lin Qiye together.
  • Lin Qiye offered Bifatu the Holy Grail in exchange for help defeating No. 22, but Bifatu revealed he had dug out his divine mark and showed a beating divine heart in the right side of his chest.

Ch. 1226Agents' Melee

Lin Qiye and No. 22 faced Bifatu, whose transplanted body parts included the heart and limbs of the slain Sun God Ra. After No. 22 drained their Mental Power and used the Holy Grail to turn Bifatu’s sword against his arm, a formless soul rose from the sand and began gathering Spiritual Energy into a colossal figure.

  • Three stone statues beneath the Ancient Well recognized Ra’s heart in Bifatu and rose, intending to sacrifice him to seize the treasury and return to the divine realm.
  • No. 22 explained that Bifatu had stolen part of Ra’s corpse and transplanted it onto himself, giving him combat power comparable to a god.
  • Bifatu attacked Lin Qiye with his sunlit arm, but No. 22 used the scepter to drain both men’s Mental Power, weakening Bifatu and sending Lin Qiye crashing into a sand dune.
  • No. 22 used the Holy Grail to make Bifatu’s sword strike his transplanted arm, causing the arm to decay.
  • A formless soul rose from the sandy crater as winds and thunderclouds gathered Spiritual Energy into a colossal figure.

Ch. 1227You Are a God

Lin Qiye used his self-forged Law Manifesting Heaven and Earth to wound Bifatu and sever No. 22’s wrist, but a mysterious old man arrived and filled the Holy Grail with blood from Bifatu’s arm. As No. 22 and Bifatu tried to stop him, a powerful woman appeared, and No. 22 recognized her as a god.

  • Lin Qiye manifested his Dharma Form and used its vertical eye to restrain Bifatu and No. 22.
  • Lin Qiye’s Dharma Form severed No. 22’s wrist and struck Bifatu, who quickly healed his injuries.
  • No. 22 realized the Holy Grail was missing as a crescent moon appeared in the sky carrying a ghostlike old man.
  • The old man crushed Bifatu’s severed arm and poured its blood into the Holy Grail, greatly increasing its contents.
  • No. 22 and Bifatu charged the old man, but a white-robed woman emerged from black hair and stopped No. 22’s scepter.
  • No. 22 recognized the woman as a god.

Ch. 1228Moon Elder

Lin Qiye realized the attackers were weakened Sumerian gods who had hidden in King's Treasury, and he tried to seize the Holy Grail before Lone Boat Elder could use it. Lone Boat Elder restored his divine power and captured Bifatu, leaving Bifatu at his mercy.

  • Lin Qiye recognized the attackers as surviving Sumerian gods who had lost their Divine System Origin and entered King's Treasury to escape the mist.
  • Lin Qiye and Bifatu rushed toward Lone Boat Elder to take the Holy Grail, but Lone Boat Elder used it to awaken his divine power.
  • Lin Qiye’s Dharma form reached its limit, forcing his soul back into his injured body as Bifatu tried to flee.
  • Lone Boat Elder bound Bifatu with moonlight, dragged him to the crescent-shaped boat, and declared he would take Ra’s heart.
  • Lone Boat Elder pierced the right side of Bifatu’s chest with his hand.

Ch. 1229A Glimmer of Hope

Nanna sacrificed Bifatu to the Holy Grail and restored the divine power of Inanna and Gibir, but the ritual still needed more life force. As Gibir pursued Lin Qiye, Lin Qiye flicked the mysterious King's Star Coin into the sky in a desperate attempt to survive.

  • No. 22 survived the fall and cursed the gods as he dragged himself away from the battlefield.
  • Nanna extracted Bifatu’s heart and Sun God body parts, then added them to the Holy Grail.
  • Nanna wished for Inanna and Gibir to regain their divine power, and both gods recovered their strength.
  • Nanna said the sacrifice remained insufficient, so Inanna went after the Uruk survivors while Gibir pursued Lin Qiye.
  • Lin Qiye fled from Gibir and, seeing no other way to fight a chief god, flicked the King's Star Coin into the sky.

Ch. 1230The Ability of the "Star Coin"

Lin Qiye discovered that the Star Coin could briefly manifest objects from his imagination while he fled Gibir, the Fire God. He summoned a Wooden Chopstick carrying Zhou Ping’s Sword Intent and used it to destroy Gibir’s Giant Flame Sword, leaving the Fire God confronting an unfamiliar Sword Law.

  • Lin Qiye flicked the Star Coin, and it spun counterclockwise without any obvious effect as Gibir’s flames closed in.
  • Lin Qiye imagined the winged boots, which appeared on his feet and briefly helped him escape Gibir.
  • Lin Qiye manifested a replica of the Holy Grail, realized the Star Coin created temporary imagined objects, and watched the Grail and boots disappear.
  • Lin Qiye summoned a Wooden Chopstick containing Zhou Ping’s Sword Intent and turned to face Gibir’s attack.
  • Gibir swung a Giant Flame Sword at Lin Qiye, but the chopstick released a phantom longsword that shredded it with Sword Qi.
  • Gibir sensed the God-Slaying Sword Intent and Sword Law, which he did not recognize.

Ch. 1231Reviving Gilgamesh

Lin Qiye escaped Gibir but suffered a string of disasters that led him back to the Sumerian gods. He discovered that the gods had Gilgamesh’s preserved corpse and were preparing to revive him.

  • Lin Qiye wounded Gibir with Zhou Ping’s Sword Intent and escaped on the Somersault Cloud; Gibir stopped pursuing him when ordered to return.
  • Lin Qiye discovered the Wooden Chopstick vanished when the coin turned clockwise, then endured repeated lightning strikes, quicksand, and other misfortunes.
  • Lin Qiye realized he had circled back to the three Sumerian gods and hid by heading toward Wucheng’s walls.
  • Nanna dissolved the crescent-shaped skiff into moonlight and raised Gilgamesh’s preserved corpse from the pool.
  • Nanna raised the Holy Grail and commanded Gilgamesh to revive in the flesh.

Ch. 1232Three Gods' Deception

After No. 22 devastated Wucheng, its surviving residents discovered that the Three Gods were slaughtering the people who had escaped and realized the gods had deceived them. Lin Qiye recognized the betrayal as Gilgamesh’s corpse began to awaken in the Holy Grail’s light.

  • Tali and the other survivors emerged from their cellar and searched Wucheng for the men who had fought No. 22, but found no one.
  • The survivors heard a commotion outside the city and watched a white-robed goddess pursue and kill dozens of fleeing Wucheng residents, feeding their remains to the Holy Grail.
  • Tali and the other survivors recognized the three figures as the Three Gods and questioned why Gilgamesh’s trusted subordinates were killing them.
  • Lin Qiye, hidden within the city wall, realized that the Three Gods had deceived Wucheng’s people by posing as Gilgamesh’s allies.
  • The survivors recognized the corpse floating above the moonlit pool as Gilgamesh, and his eyes began to open as the Holy Grail’s light flowed over him.

Ch. 1233The Final Battle

The Sumerian gods used the Holy Grail and moonlight to control Gilgamesh’s corpse and prepare to seize the King’s Treasury. At the Psychiatric Hospital of the Gods, Monkey King freed the maddened Gilgamesh and challenged him to one last battle, while the Puppet Hero King began activating his King Decree outside.

  • Moon God Nanna controlled Gilgamesh’s revived body with moonlight, causing him to feel pain as the Sumerian gods prepared to take control of the King’s Treasury.
  • Monkey King saw that the Sumerian gods were controlling Gilgamesh and told Bragi to leave the courtyard.
  • Monkey King broke Gilgamesh’s remaining chains and challenged him to their final battle within the hospital.

  • The Puppet Hero King invoked the Final King Decree, spreading his divine realm through the King’s Treasury.

Ch. 1234Silent Defiance

The Puppet Hero King awakened the King's Treasury and drew its divine artifacts and city wall into the sky, leaving Lin Qiye and Wucheng's survivors exposed to the Three Gods. As Inanna prepared to sacrifice them, Tali and the elders defied her by turning away from their forced kneeling and refusing to bow.

  • The Puppet Hero King activated the King's Treasury, summoning its divine artifacts and lifting the city wall into the sky.
  • Lin Qiye used a gale to save the falling survivors, then released the King's Star Coin as it was pulled toward the Puppet Hero King.
  • Nanna ordered Inanna to turn the remaining Wucheng survivors into sacrifices, and Inanna forced them to kneel beneath her divine power.
  • Tali saw Uruk's cuneiform seal, rolled onto her back, and stared defiantly at Inanna instead of kneeling.
  • The old people followed Tali's example, silently turning toward the sky as they resisted Inanna.

Ch. 1235Great Sage Discharged

Monkey King defeated Gilgamesh in the hospital and completed his treatment, then returned to the outside world as Great Sage Equal to Heaven. He arrived just as Inanna’s spear threatened the people of Wucheng.

  • Monkey King fought Gilgamesh until the shattered golden barrier exposed their battle to the hospital orderlies, whom Li Yifei ordered to evacuate.
  • Monkey King subdued Gilgamesh, who recovered his memories and asked him for a favor before handing over the shattered wedge tablet.

  • Inanna hurled her spear toward the people of Wucheng, and Monkey King emerged through a crack in the sky to confront her.

Ch. 1236Great Sage Equal to Heaven

Monkey King emerged from the Psychiatric Hospital of the Gods and rescued the surviving residents of Wucheng by striking Inanna with the Golden Cudgel. He then fought the Puppet Hero King in King's Treasury, where his weapon was seized and his Heavenly Mandate Dharma Form was stopped by a divine restriction.

  • The Puppet Hero King used King's Treasury to take the Golden Cudgel from Monkey King's hand.
  • Monkey King manifested a colossal Heavenly Mandate Dharma Form, but the Puppet Hero King invoked King's Law, Divine Forbidden Zone Restriction, stopping its palm ten meters away.

Ch. 1237I Want to Go Out

Monkey King fought Nanna’s Puppet Hero King and shattered Gilgamesh’s brain, freeing Gilgamesh from the false memories that had been tormenting him. Gilgamesh’s treatment progress rose above 50%, and he told Lin Qiye he wanted to leave the Psychiatric Hospital of the Gods.

  • Monkey King used his knowledge of Gilgamesh’s fighting style to batter the Puppet Hero King and withstand attacks from the divine artifacts.
  • Monkey King created clones to distract the artifacts, then let the King’s Scepter drain his divine power so he could rush the Puppet Hero King and smash his brain.
  • Nanna lost control of the Puppet Hero King’s combat instincts after its brain shattered, while Lin Qiye sensed the change and entered the Psychiatric Hospital of the Gods.
  • Gilgamesh woke as the false memories disappeared, and his treatment progress increased from 37% to 59%.
  • Gilgamesh learned he could temporarily leave the hospital and told Lin Qiye, “I want to go out.”

Ch. 1238Memory Recreation

  • The Puppet Hero King rose with the scepter and absorbed the Monkey King's divine power, while Inanna, Nanna, and Bigil expected him to defeat the Monkey King.
  • The Monkey King said he had completed the task asked of him and left what came next to someone else.
  • Lin Qiye returned to the outside world with Gilgamesh, who saw the ruins and the frightened descendants of his people but said he was not yet worthy to meet them as their king.
  • Lin Qiye summoned the King's Star Coin using a mark he had placed on it, and Gilgamesh took it from him.
  • Gilgamesh explained that reversing the Star Coin recreates memories, including people, and that its holder suffers a devastating Misfortune Backlash afterward.

Ch. 1239King and King

Lin Qiye learned that the Star Coin erased memories of anything it recreated, while Gilgamesh used it to summon his younger self. The prime Hero King merged with his spiritual future self and challenged the Three Gods for control of the King's Treasury, leaving the contest unresolved.

  • Lin Qiye discovered that he could not remember what he had recreated with the Star Coin, and Gilgamesh explained that the coin erased memories related to anything it recreated.

  • Gilgamesh gained the advantage over Nanna’s royal law, while Monkey King took the Golden Cudgel and fought Bigil and Inanna.
  • Gilgamesh refused to yield the King's Treasury, and their clashing laws tore open a breach that damaged it and scattered divine artifacts into the sand.
  • The backlash destroyed Nanna’s control of the Puppet Hero King, and Nanna was defeated as the Three Gods of Sumer’s revival plan failed.
  • Gilgamesh found a stone box and appeared before the survivors of Wucheng, who recognized him as their king and thanked him for saving them.
  • Gilgamesh offered the survivors divine artifacts if they wished to leave, but they said they wanted to remain with him.

Ch. 1241Hero King and Great Sage Equal to Heaven

  • Gilgamesh struck Nanna with his crimson longsword and decapitated him.

Ch. 1243Breaking Free

Gilgamesh and the Monkey King defeated the Sumerian gods, while Lin Qiye planned how to escape as six divine auras approached. After Gilgamesh appeared before the Norse Gods and they unexpectedly withdrew, his recreation ended, and Lin Qiye and the Monkey King fled in the opposite direction.
