Pamir Plateau. Elsewhere.
In the barren snowfield, two figures wandered aimlessly with their heads lowered.
As Si Xiaonan walked, she boredly scraped the snow with the tip of her shoe and could not help covering her mouth as she yawned.
"Leng Xuan, we've been moving at full speed for so long. Shouldn't we sit down and rest?"
"Mm, I'm a little tired too," Leng Xuan replied without changing expression.
"Did you bring any rations?"
"...No."
"Then let's look around for something to eat."
Si Xiaonan looked around and spotted a gray-white felt tent at the foot of a distant mountain. It looked much like a yurt, though it carried a more distinctive ethnic character.
Several cattle and sheep were tied outside the tent, leisurely swaying their heads.
Si Xiaonan and Leng Xuan exchanged glances and nodded in tacit understanding.
The two swiftly and silently approached the felt tent.
Just then, a herdsman happened to step out from behind its door. Seeing the two suddenly appear outside his home, he froze slightly.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
He instinctively took a step back and raised a hand to shield the three children behind him.
The three children were all adorable, dressed in striking ethnic clothing. Their pairs of dark, innocent eyes curiously examined the two uninvited guests.
Si Xiaonan frowned.
She touched her nose. "Kill them all."
Leng Xuan left an afterimage as he moved, knocking everyone in the tent unconscious at a speed too fast for anyone to react to. He then kicked over the large pot in the center of the tent, spilling all the boiling sheep's milk inside and imitating the sound of blood splattering.
Several heavy thuds sounded as bodies hit the ground, and only then did Si Xiaonan breathe a sigh of relief.
