Over the deathly silent sea, two muffled thunderclaps suddenly erupted.
Shen Qingzhu, who was sitting inside the Explorer Ship as it drifted with the currents, opened his eyes and looked through the porthole toward the distant sea. He saw a white figure and a golden figure tear open a rift in the void, swiftly soar into the clouds, streak across the sky, and vanish.
"Michael?" Shen Qingzhu's eyes narrowed as he sensed the aura within that golden light.
Why had Michael come out? Who was he hunting? What had happened in Heaven?
A string of questions flashed through his mind. He ran onto the deck and looked around, but aside from the endless black fog, there was nothing else to see. In visibility this poor—practically blindness—Shen Qingzhu did not even know where the ship had drifted.
As the current gradually became more turbulent, the ship began accelerating forward, and the temperature around it steadily dropped. In just a few dozen seconds, it felt as though they had fallen into an ice cellar.
"Something's wrong..."
Shen Qingzhu frowned and snapped his fingers at the sky.
Snap—!
A blazing fireball suddenly appeared above the Explorer Ship, driving back the surrounding darkness. By its light, Shen Qingzhu could barely make out the area within a dozen meters of the ship.
His peripheral vision caught sight of what lay beneath the vessel, and his pupils contracted slightly.
At some point, the black seawater had turned blood-red. The once-vast sea now looked as though it had entered some mountain gorge, with towering rock walls on both sides. Chilly air continuously seeped from the mountains, while grotesque corpses floated atop the crimson river, giving off a nauseating stench.
This was definitely not normal waters!
Shen Qingzhu abruptly turned to look toward the stern. The hazy fog
