Violent hurricanes whipped up the heavy seawater, like colossal beasts roaring in the darkness as they slammed against Chenglong Pass's towering outer wall.
Spray burst through the air, thunder rumbled faintly, and atop the outer wall's watchtower, two figures clad in dark crimson cloaks stood as steadfast as boulders.
"Why are the winds and waves so fierce tonight?"
One Night Watchman lowered his binoculars and spoke over the wailing wind.
Beside him, another Night Watchman frowned slightly. "It really isn't normal. We haven't seen winds and waves this severe in a long time..."
"All alert teams, report your current status."
"Team One, all clear."
"Team Two, all clear."

A succession of voices came through the radio. Hearing that no abnormalities had been found anywhere in Chenglong Pass, the man nodded.
"In winds and waves this fierce, even our patrol wingmen can't take off. Stay sharp, all of you. Don't let even the slightest anomaly slip past!"
