Amamiya Haruki, his appearance altered through disguise, stopped in front of the Black Wutong Club with a heavily folded flyer in hand.
He glanced up at the deserted storefront, then looked at the flashy poster plastered by the entrance. At its center, a blond young man in an outrageously gaudy outfit smiled as he held up a glass of wine, as if about to toast someone.
Amamiya Haruki's expression stiffened slightly.
When the noodle shop owner had handed him this flyer, he had mentioned that a friend of his ran a shop in Dotonbori. The place seemed to be short-staffed, and he had said that if Amamiya Haruki could get hired by the owner, he should be able to make quite a bit of money in a short time.
So Amamiya Haruki had followed the flyer all the way here.
At first, he had assumed it was an ordinary restaurant. But only when he stood outside and saw the suggestive poster by the door and the color scheme of the interior did he realize... this was a host club.
The tightly shut glass doors reflected Amamiya Haruki's image. In that reflection, a white-haired figure in white clothes stood behind him, holding an umbrella.
"This is a host club." His voice echoed by Amamiya Haruki's ear.
"...I can see that."
"Are you really planning to work here?" The voice paused. "The wielder of the Nine Calamity Blades, a Fierce Ghost-level wanted criminal, a man determined to change this country... is going to become a host now?"
Amamiya Haruki's gaze flickered, as though he were struggling with the decision.
After a long while, he slowly said, "But I need money."
"Does a wanted criminal really need to go this far to make money?"
"Others may not understand me and
