Background / History

Lin Qiye’s connection to the Psychiatric Hospital of the Gods began after five years of knocking on a sealed door. Once his mental perception strengthened enough to enter, he opened Room One and met Nyx, the Goddess of Night. The hospital’s treatment system offered him random portions of a patient’s abilities at specific treatment milestones. 12

He became a Night Watchman following the Ghost-faced Man incident and was later identified as a Dual God Agent of Archangel Michael and Nyx. During recruit training, he graduated with the highest honors and set historical records in tactical and simulated-combat examinations. 214 280

After waking from a fantasy world, Lin Qiye was confined for observation at a research institute. He sought to escape because he intended to resurrect his aunt, Yang Jin, and Chen Muye; establish an enduring Mortal Divine Domain; and avenge those he had lost by killing Gaia and Loki. 282

Over time, he formed and led the Fifth Special Squad, Nightfall. The squad endured repeated separations, deaths, betrayals, and reunions before Lin Qiye became the seventh Commander of the Night Watchmen after two thousand years of refinement. 1446 1756
