"Dad!"

Yurina jolted awake from her sleep. She sat up in bed, gasping for breath, her little face covered in sweat.

She had had a nightmare.

She turned to look beside the bed. The place where Uncle Kyosuke had been sleeping was now empty, the bedding folded neatly as if he had left long ago.
