Stone Statues Awaken

Feeling the earth tremble, Lin Qiye and the other two, who had been facing off in the cramped room, suddenly changed expressions.

After hesitating for a moment, Lin Qiye lowered the pixel gun in his hand first, extending his Mental Power to carefully sense everything around them.

After passing through that Torii Wall, they had arrived directly inside this room. That torii most likely possessed the power to shift space, which meant they were no longer on the outskirts of the city ruins, but had entered an entirely unfamiliar place.

This was most likely the core area of the ruins.

As his Mental Power spread outward, Lin Qiye's brow furrowed tighter and tighter. With his current level of Mental Power, his perception covered nearly ten kilometers. Yet even after extending it to its full range, he sensed nothing but endless cramped rooms.

This feeling reminded Lin Qiye of the Training Camp, when the spatial Rubik's Cube had folded up the dormitory building. The difference was that at the Training Camp, the rooms had been scrambled, creating the illusion of infinity. Here, however, the rooms were truly endless...

There were no doors and no windows. It was like an infinitely vast Go board, with the squares as endless rooms and the black lines as neatly arranged corridors.

What was strange was that some of the walls contained bizarre stone statues. Each statue had a different appearance and pose. Whenever Lin Qiye's Mental Power touched their surfaces, it was blocked outside, unable to penetrate even an inch.

Lin Qiye did not understand why these statues were here, but he did not dwell on it, merely taking them as some sort of mysterious symbol or ritual.

Unable to find a way out, Lin Qiye could only return to the wall they had entered
