Jinian casually threw on an oversized trench coat to cover the revealing swimsuit, tied up her black hair with a hair tie, and followed the man toward the deck.
Despite the cruise ship's enormous size, there were only a little over forty people aboard in total. At that moment, nearly all of them had gathered in the middle of the deck, carefully examining the two people who had just been hauled aboard, their faces filled with confusion.
"The president is here!"
"Quick, make way for the president."
"Hello, President!"
"Hello, President!"
"..."
Someone in the crowd spotted Jinian approaching in her trench coat and immediately called out. The crowd instantly parted to form a path, bowing slightly in greeting.
Jinian gave a slight nod and calmly passed through the crowd, walking straight up to the two people.
On the pixelated deck, a man and a woman lay quietly side by side. Seawater dripped from their soaked clothes, spreading into a puddle around them. Both of them lay unconscious in its center.
The woman wore a bloodstained dark-blue Han robe, her face deathly pale. A savage sword wound ran across her back, yet not a drop of blood seeped from it. Her breathing was faint but steady.
The man's injuries were far more severe. A sword wound had pierced straight through his body from behind, staining his clothes crimson with blood. His left hand tightly gripped the woman's palm, while his right hand clutched a longsword with all his strength. Though he had already lost consciousness, his hands remained like iron clamps, showing no sign of letting go.
The moment Jinian's gaze fell on the man, her pupils contracted, and her body suddenly trembled.
She seemed dazed. Her lips parted slightly as she murmured in a voice only she could hear:
