The Third Eye

The leader of the Tentacled Creatures looked at the sky.

It knew that Moda People warriors were hiding above the clouds.

Others were on the ground, hiding because they feared death.

In its eyes, the Alliance creatures' habit of hiding whenever they could not win was truly awful.

It really did not know how such a species had managed to control such a vast region as Jingsu.

Their master had not explained that, and they could not be bothered to think about it. Perhaps that was the real reason their master wanted to overthrow Jingsu.

The leader communicated with those beside it. "These creatures are clearly looking for a chance to wipe us out in one stroke. They have always liked hiding."

"Leader, how do we drag those hateful Moda People out?" one of them asked.

"With our strength. Beat them until they grovel and beg for mercy, and those things will naturally come out."

They would not let the Moda People hide in the shadows as they wished. It preferred a direct fight.

It could not learn the Moda People's sneaky ways.

It glanced at the members of its clan who were still smearing markings, and casually waved its tentacles through the air a few times.

Seeing its movements, everyone stopped what they were doing.

They carefully watched the arcs, frequency, and direction of its tentacle movements.

They knew that the leader was conveying information. Only this way could they avoid having it deciphered by the Moda People—or at least prevent them from deciphering it immediately.

That would buy them time and make it easier for them to complete a certain task.

After several swift turns, it withdrew its tentacles. A piercing voice rang out. "Do you understand?"

All the creatures retracted their tentacles and nodded.
