Ch. 321Man Is Here, the Tower Is Here!

Lu Chen secretly protected the village through the night, using his Demon Gods and sword techniques to destroy the Aberrations before they could harm the Barbarians. At dawn, he began organizing the settlement, then ordered its haphazard houses torn down so the warriors could build a perimeter wall.

  • Lu Chen rejected calls to scout or attack, while his Demon Gods slaughtered the approaching Aberrations and earned him Experience Points.
  • When Aberrations reached the village, Lu Chen killed them with long-range Shocking Sword Qi, keeping the warriors from fighting.
  • Lu Chen destroyed the Demon Flute and its controlled followers with his Justice Word Spirit, waking some of the villagers with the blast.
  • After dawn, Lu Chen ordered Barbarian Bear, Ya, Wei Song, and Ying Wei to gather building materials while he rested under guard.
  • Lu Chen found the newly built houses disorderly and ordered them demolished so the Barbarians could build a perimeter wall first.

Ch. 322Fear Is the Foremost of All Enemies!

Lu Chen faced a strange evil spirit whose alternating laughter and weeping transformed and harmed the Barbarians, but his bloodline let him resist her powers. After learning that ordinary attacks could not kill her, Lu Chen made the spirit and part of the ground vanish, leaving the Paper Figures searching for their master.

  • Lu Chen planned to recruit Cloud Prefecture craftsmen and other experts to help build and develop his town, while ordering the Barbarians to demolish their haphazard houses and prepare materials.
  • As the second and fiercest night of battle began, Lu Chen and his Ghost Gods slaughtered evil entities while the Chieftain's Sons and their warriors fought those that reached the village.
  • At midnight, a red bridal sedan chair and Paper Figures appeared, and the veiled evil spirit forced the Barbarians to laugh until some began turning into paper figures.
  • Lu Chen resisted the spirit's laughter curse and struck the bridal sedan with his Mythic Greatsword, but the spirit survived and began making the Barbarians weep until some became sheets of skin.
  • The Chieftain's Sons killed the spirit as she wept, but she returned laughing; Lu Chen then punched her apart, and she reappeared and claimed she could not be killed.
  • Lu Chen made the evil spirit and a large section of the ground beneath her disappear, leaving a Paper Figure bewildered and asking where its master had gone.

Ch. 323After All, I'm Not Some Demon!

Lu Chen swallowed the bizarre woman and her Paper Figures, secured Herd Bull Village, and began organizing its defenses and construction. With support arriving from the Royal Court, he planned further expansion and ordered the Barbarians to follow the master builders, leaving their response uncertain.

  • Lu Chen swallowed the female evil spirit and the Paper Figures, then stood guard as the other evil spirits were intercepted and killed.
  • Lu Chen sent Ya to the Royal Court for refugees and skilled builders, while he and the Barbarians gathered materials for the village.
  • Lu Chen hunted evil spirits through the wilderness overnight as the Chieftains' Sons recalled their failed attempts to establish villages.
  • The totem fire fully ignited, and Ji Hongdie arrived with refugees, supplies, and investors from the Royal Court.
  • Lu Chen reviewed a practical city plan with the master builders, then summoned the Barbarians and ordered them to work under the builders' direction.
  • Lu Chen silenced the assembled Barbarians with Intimidation and challenged anyone who opposed his decision to step forward.

Ch. 324Limitless Sword Dao

Lu Chen established Chen Village and traveled to a second ruined village, where he destroyed the ruins and prepared to build another settlement. He advanced Meditation to Limitless Sword Dao, discovered how his godhead connected him to Chen Village, and decided to establish a regional domain by sheltering more people.

  • Lu Chen forced the Barbarians and construction masters to accept his orders, then named their settlement Chen Village.
  • After the shamans engraved Chen Village's name on its Totem Pillar, Lu Chen sensed a strange connection to the village and its prayers.
  • Lu Chen led the group along an abandoned road to a second ruined village and shattered its structures, killing the weak evil entities there.
  • Lu Chen had the shamans raise a Totem Pillar and sent First Ghost God - Soul Bender Kazan and Second Ghost God - Corruption of Plorymon to intercept enemies.
  • Lu Chen spent 100000 experience to advance Meditation to Limitless Sword Dao and demonstrated sword aura that grew stronger by absorbing natural energy within his Willpower Domain.
  • Lu Chen realized his godhead connected him to Chen Village through its Totem Pillar and resolved to establish more villages to form a false Divine Domain.

Ch. 325Shadow Realm

Lu Chen investigated the Shadow Realm and discovered that Aberrations gathered there during the day, then unleashed his Ghost Gods and flames to slaughter them. After burning everything within miles, he prepared to leave, sensing the totem fire more clearly in the Shadow Realm.

  • Lu Chen killed an Aberration, and Feast finished digesting the Crying Laughing Bride, increasing his Elite bonus and strengthening his body.
  • Lu Chen trained through the day, then led his clansmen to establish another village, leaving Shi Dang, Mao, and Shan Zhu to guard the previous settlement.
  • Lu Chen entered the Shadow Realm with Phantom Keiga and found the Aberrations that disappeared during daylight gathered there.
  • Lu Chen and his two Ghost Gods slaughtered the Aberrations around the ruined village, while Lu Chen realized that some Gold-tier abilities weakened in the Shadow Realm.
  • Lu Chen used his Blood Qi to lure more Aberrations and fought across the Shadow Realm, burning the surrounding forest and destroying everything for miles.
  • Lu Chen stopped fighting and sensed that the totem fire was easier to perceive in the Shadow Realm.

Ch. 326Reflections in the Lake, Knight in the Mirror

Lu Chen explored the Shadow Realm, killed a Black Knight guarding a ruined castle reflected in a lake, and was caught in the reflection’s spatial trap. He broke free by enlarging himself and unleashing Endless Rage, but the threat at the lake remained.

  • Lu Chen realized that villages whose people submitted to him could steadily earn him Experience Points, and he hoped to find Shadow Realm shortcuts so he could protect them all.
  • Lu Chen searched the Shadow Realm for shortcuts, killed the Ghost Face Tree, and noticed a ruined castle appearing in a nearby lake’s reflection.
  • A Black Knight emerged from the reflection and warned Lu Chen to leave, but Lu Chen restrained him with Conqueror’s Haki and destroyed him with Soul Devouring Hand.
  • Lu Chen sent the First Demon God and the Second Demon God toward the reflected castle, then discovered that the lake and castle occupied separate layers of space.
  • When Lu Chen approached the lake, a reflection of himself in butler’s attire appeared in the castle and began pulling him into the reflection.
  • Lu Chen activated Size As One Wishes and Endless Rage, grew into an eight-meter-tall giant, and broke free of the force restraining him.

Ch. 327Battle is Glory

Lu Chen confronted a dangerous lake reflection in Shadow Land, retreated when Apocalypse warned him, and returned to the real world to recover and establish his village. After learning that Shadow Land and its evil spirits regenerated from the real world and deeper realms, he sought a way to gain experience without leaving his people unguarded and began channeling all his qi and blood into his divinity.

  • Lu Chen resisted the lake reflection with Endless Rage, then withdrew after Apocalypse warned him that the threat was beyond his current strength; he blasted the lake with a Mythic Greatsword but failed to harm it.
  • Lu Chen used Phantom Keiga to return from Shadow Land, sensed that he could descend into deeper layers, and heeded Apocalypse's warning not to enter the Nightmare Realm.
  • Lu Chen returned to the real world, healed his injuries, reassured the anxious Barbarians, and ordered them to guard the village as night approached.
  • Lu Chen found the village restored in Shadow Land and discovered that evil spirits reappeared there at night, while auras from the Blood Moons and deeper realms continued producing more.
  • Lu Chen realized he needed a way to leave for experience without abandoning his guards, then sat down and drove his heartbeat to two thousand beats per minute before pouring all his qi and blood into his divinity.

Ch. 328Achievement Unlocked: Unseeable God

Lu Chen used the Barbarians’ faith to activate his divine spark, gaining godlike perception and discovering a threat to the village. After recovering from the severe cost, he resolved to strengthen his powers so that those who looked at him could be struck down.

  • Lu Chen poured Blood Qi into his divine spark, but it could not activate until the surrounding Barbarians and distant villages sent him devout faith.
  • The faith transformed Lu Chen’s Blood Qi, allowing him to activate the divine spark and sense the Totem Pillar’s karmic connections and approaching evil entities.
  • Lu Chen identified three powerful evil entities and used Corruption of Plorymon to frighten one that sensed him, though the strain left him emaciated.
  • Lu Chen recovered with Avalon, meditation, and Blood Replenishing Pills, then told the worried Barbarian warriors he was fine.
  • Lu Chen concluded that he could retaliate against those who perceived or watched him and resolved to raise Corruption of Plorymon and Witnessing.

Ch. 329God Vanishes! Behold the Supreme Blaze

Lu Chen hunted down Calamity-level evil spirits to protect the Barbarian village, killing a Poisonous Toad and an Evil Spirit Knight while gaining spoils and experience. As he raced toward another target, the wilderness darkness swallowed the Blood Moon, and Lu Chen summoned flames as it threatened to devour him.

  • Lu Chen assigned Shan Jian, Shan Zhu, and Yan Zhu to guard the village, then left to hunt distant evil spirits after assuring the tribesmen he had cleared the nearby area.
  • Lu Chen killed the Calamity-level Poisonous Toad by tearing it apart, sacrificed its Freely Retractable Tongue, and kept its Swollen Stomach Pouch.
  • Lu Chen struck down the approaching Evil Spirit Knight from a distance with his Mythic Greatsword, earning 8,000 experience points.
  • Lu Chen continued toward a third evil spirit, but the Blood Moon vanished and darkness surrounded him as the wilderness began to devour him.
  • Lu Chen summoned a fierce flame and declared, "Bear witness to the supreme flames!"

Ch. 330Fourth Demon God Activated, Freezing Everything

Lu Chen lured and slaughtered Evil Spirits in the wilderness, then led his forces toward a fourth village where a vast fire-based Evil Spirit attacked him. To counter the creature’s multiplying sparks, Lu Chen awakened the Fourth Demon God, whose frost spread across the area and froze everything within more than a thousand meters.

  • Lu Chen used Holy Flame to draw in and kill large numbers of Evil Spirits, while the Evil Spirit threatening a village fled after sensing Corruption of Plorymon and the Second Demon God.
  • Lu Chen returned to the village, reassured its defenders that the area was safe, and led his force onward while charging ahead alone to attract and kill more Evil Spirits.
  • Lu Chen reached the ruined fourth village before his troops and sensed a powerful presence within it using Unity of Heaven and Man.
  • A multitude of sparks attacked Lu Chen, repeatedly forming into flaming birds that his sword strikes scattered and then erased with Ghost Slash.
  • As the sparks ignited his body and fed on his Blood Qi, Lu Chen poured blood into the Demon Hand and awakened the Fourth Demon God, whose frost extinguished the sparks and froze everything within more than a thousand meters.

Ch. 331Frostmourne

Lu Chen awakened Frost Saya, used her Frost Domain to kill Firefly, and subdued the ghost god despite her attempt to freeze him. He accelerated the establishment of villages and returned to Chen Village after several days with only a dozen warriors, leaving Barbarian Bear and the other villagers fearing that something had happened to the missing group.

  • Lu Chen chose to awaken Frost Saya, expanded her Frost Domain with his other abilities, and froze Firefly to death for 13,000 experience points.
  • Frost Saya’s frost and deathly silence attacked Lu Chen, but his Willpower Fire and heated blood let him break free; he then forced her to retreat when she threatened his clansmen.
  • Lu Chen ordered the warriors to raise the Totem Pillar, briefly activated his godhead to locate evil spirits, and left the village to hunt them while his clansmen guarded the settlement.
  • Lu Chen returned to Chen Village two days later with only around a dozen warriors, prompting Barbarian Bear and the other stationed warriors to fear that the rest of the group had been lost.

Ch. 332Genius Receives Special Treatment

Lu Chen returned exhausted, leading Ji Hongdie, merchants, and Yi Rong to assume his attempt had failed, while he slept after using the godhead. The returning warriors revealed that they did not know of any failure, leaving the truth of what happened unclear.

  • Ji Hongdie feared Lu Chen had failed and been badly hurt, but Lu Chen said he needed a bath and rest.
  • Lu Chen fell asleep in the bath as the First Demon God, Soul Bender Kazan, and Second Demon God, Corruption of Plorymon, guarded him.
  • Merchants worried about Lu Chen's apparent failure but decided to keep investing, expecting the Royal Court to protect him.
  • Yi Rong and her master worried about their future under Lu Chen's protection, while Yi Rong resolved to endure their situation.
  • Ji Hongdie and others questioned the returning warriors about Lu Chen's supposed failure, and the warriors asked what failure she meant.

Ch. 333Training Points, One Hundred Eighty Thousand

After Lu Chen’s expedition returned victorious, Ji Hongdie and the merchants learned that he had built six satellite towns in four or five days. Lu Chen slept until evening, gained more Training Points from his subordinates’ hunting, and considered how to develop his village and grow stronger.

  • Ji Hongdie and Barbarian Bear mistook the returning warriors’ small number for a failed expedition, but the warriors said Lu Chen had built all six satellite towns and the chieftains were defending them.
  • Ji Hongdie rejoiced at Lu Chen’s victory, while two merchants tried to explain their visit as an offer of support and flattered her into accepting greater contributions.
  • Yi Rong arrived and clashed silently with Ji Hongdie, who ended her conversation with the merchants after securing additional benefits from them.
  • Lu Chen woke from a long sleep and saw that his subordinates’ hunting had earned him more than three thousand Training Points.
  • Lu Chen resolved to bring ordinary tribesmen from the Royal Court, gain power through faith and cultivation, and noted that his two hearts were each 20% tempered and that he had 187845 Training Points.

Ch. 334Those Who Stand in the Way Shall Be Killed Without Mercy!

Lu Chen inspected his rapidly built town and realized he could use Wei Song’s earth-shaping talent and the Child of the Earth clan to create larger settlements. After learning that merchant caravans could not hide thousands of people from evil spirits, he asked how major towns migrated and resolved to clear the route by force.

  • Lu Chen toured the town with Ji Hongdie and saw Wei Song excavate an underground channel by shaping the earth.
  • Lu Chen promised Wei Song a future command and asked him to recruit more members of the Child of the Earth clan for construction.
  • Ji Hongdie estimated that Lu Chen’s towns could accommodate about twenty-three thousand people, prompting him to summon two Cloud Prefecture merchants for advice on travel.
  • The merchants and Yi Rong explained that Shadow Arrays could conceal only small caravans, not the thousands Lu Chen planned to bring from the Royal Court.
  • Ji Hongdie said that large towns relied on the strong and the army to clear their migration routes, and Lu Chen accepted the approach.

Ch. 335Traveling Alone for a Thousand Miles

Lu Chen traveled alone into the wilderness to open a safe road from Chen Village to the Royal Court, while Ji Hongdie returned with the Chieftains' Sons to organize supplies and support. His rapid village-building and dangerous journey sparked a wave of investment in the Royal Court, leaving Ji Hongdie hopeful that the resources would make him safer.

  • Lu Chen ordered Ji Hongdie to take one Chieftain's Son from each village back to the Royal Court, then set out alone to carve a safe road through the wilderness.
  • Ji Hongdie suppressed the Chieftains' Sons' attempts to follow Lu Chen and returned to the Royal Court aboard the Sky Whale with them.
  • Merchants learned that Lu Chen had established six villages in four days and rushed to invest in his growing territory.
  • The merchants heard that Lu Chen was opening a road alone, prompting them to seek more shops and travel rights along it.
  • Ji Hongdie accepted the large merchant guilds' supplies and investment in exchange for shops and road access, preparing resources for Lu Chen's forces.

Ch. 336Hero's Arrival

Ji Hongdie organized recruitment for Lu Chen’s villages as refugees and townspeople rushed to join, while the Great Shaman welcomed the relief Lu Chen’s settlements would bring. Rong abandoned his dangerous plan to establish a village himself and led his people to seek places in Lu Chen’s territory; meanwhile, Lu Chen set out to make a safe route through the wilderness by eliminating every enemy along it.

  • Ji Hongdie worried about Lu Chen and resented Qing Xue, while the Great Shaman praised Lu Chen for establishing villages that could shelter more than twenty thousand people.
  • Refugees prepared to risk their lives establishing a village, but Rong learned that Kang and Peng had failed and worried that his own people would die in the wilderness.
  • After news spread that Lu Chen had built six villages in four days and was recruiting at least twenty thousand people, Rong led his clansmen toward Ji Hongdie’s crowded recruitment platform.
  • Townspeople also sought places for their children in Lu Chen’s villages, and Ji Hongdie prioritized soldiers’ families and skilled recruits.
  • Fu Prince rejected an adviser’s suggestion to interfere with Lu Chen, recognizing that the changing crisis made such action too risky.
  • Lu Chen decided that a safe road was one without enemies and set out to kill everything blocking the route to the Royal Court.

Ch. 337Upgrade Great Swordsman Level

Lu Chen opened a route through the wilderness by drawing evil creatures into Frost Saya’s kilometer-wide frost domain, slaughtering them while cultivating and earning Experience Points. After traveling a hundred miles, he sensed a powerful enemy approaching and began spending his accumulated Experience Points to upgrade his Great Swordsman level.

  • Lu Chen raised a blazing torch to lure nearby evil creatures and advanced through the wilderness with Frost Saya’s frost domain killing those that entered it.
  • Lu Chen used Avalon and Unity of Heaven and Man to sustain and strengthen Frost Saya, discovering that winter’s aura made the domain colder and wider.
  • Lu Chen released his First and Second Demon Gods to kill evil creatures that passed through the frost, while he continued cultivating and gaining Experience Points from his own and his subordinates’ kills.
  • After traveling a hundred miles, Lu Chen sensed a powerful evil creature approaching and checked that he had accumulated 207845 Experience Points.
  • Lu Chen decided to spend his Experience Points upgrading his main class, Sword Saint: Great Swordsman.

Ch. 338Great Swordsman Level Five

Lu Chen raised his Great Swordsman level to 5, chose the Rapid Advance skill, and then faced a gigantic eight-headed Snake Monster in the wilderness. After trading attacks and discovering its powerful regeneration, he summoned his Mythic Greatsword as the monster used a petrifying head to make the ground erupt.

  • Lu Chen spent 140,000 Experience Points to reach Great Swordsman Level 5 and gained a skill draw opportunity.
  • Lu Chen replaced several low-grade skill draws before locking in the Gold-grade Rapid Advance skill.
  • Lu Chen detected a two-hundred-meter Snake Monster with eight heads approaching and prepared to fight it.
  • Lu Chen wounded the Snake Monster with a massive sword aura and blocked its other attacks with a gale he created himself.
  • The Snake Monster regenerated its injured head and charged Lu Chen, who summoned the Mythic Greatsword.
  • The Snake Monster stabbed a petrified head into the ground, raising stone protrusions as Lu Chen grinned and declared it was courting death.

Ch. 339Dragon Shaped Light and Shadow

Lu Chen repeatedly bombarded the Snake Monster with Judgment greatswords while using Dragon Shaped Light and Shadow to evade its attacks. After petrifying Lu Chen and losing its largest head, the Snake Monster fled as the Darkness Serpent, and Lu Chen pursued it with successive high-speed charges.

  • Lu Chen crushed the Snake Monster's underground attack and repeatedly summoned Judgment greatswords, destroying several of its heads while it struck back and regenerated.
  • Lu Chen used Dragon Shaped Light and Shadow to dodge the Snake Monster's attacks and continued bombarding it with Judgment greatswords until Wrath of Justice Fire weakened its regeneration.
  • The Snake Monster used its petrification ability on Lu Chen, but Lu Chen's eye-based terror ability trapped it in a struggle with an illusion, allowing his next Judgment greatsword to destroy its largest head.
  • The surviving black head fled as the Darkness Serpent, and Lu Chen pursued it with ten Dragon Shaped Light and Shadow charges, crossing two kilometers and catching sight of it.

Ch. 340Dragon Breaking Slash

Lu Chen destroyed the Eight-Headed Serpent, tested his new Dragon Breaking Slash, and continued clearing a safe route toward the Royal Court. He rescued Zhu Village from a Fear Scarecrow and left its chief and clansmen wary of the terrifying figure who had saved them.

  • Lu Chen devoured the Eight-Headed Serpent, gained experience and sixteen Serpent Eye Jewels, and decided to have Hong Die sell the jewels for spiritual materials.
  • Lu Chen used Dragon Breaking Slash to travel several kilometers at high speed, then resumed clearing a frost-covered route toward the Royal Court.
  • Daozhu led Shi Mo, Da Shan, Da Tou, and other warriors outside Zhu Village to confront the evil spirit that had been frightening and abducting villagers.
  • The Fear Scarecrow controlled Daozhu and his warriors with threads until Lu Chen’s spreading frost freed them and revealed the creature.
  • Lu Chen summoned a Mythic Greatsword and killed the Fear Scarecrow, earning experience while Daozhu and the villagers remained wary of him.
