Jiang Ding silently watched the Spirit Lock that had fallen into the Minor World.
This thing, identical to a basic spiritual energy particle, caused no great commotion. It naturally joined the world's cycle, existing in a form innately between matter and energy.
It was first unconsciously swallowed by a mountain sparrow, becoming a minute part of the sparrow's body.
Several months later, the mountain sparrow was preyed upon and devoured by a gray eagle. The sparrow's body became part of the gray eagle's body—a scene exceedingly common in nature's cycle.
No one knew that, amid this process of life and death, the Spirit Lock silently completed a replication.
No, not replication. It could perhaps be called infection.
During this process, a normal spiritual particle was infected into a Law Annihilation Spirit Lock, and the Law Annihilation Spirit Lock completed one additional replication.
The entire process took three months and eighteen days.
The shortest possible time was thirty days. This period could not be reduced, because the Spirit Lock required time to merge with its host. Otherwise, it could not complete the replication and transfer process.
Was that long?
It was long.
If one looked only at the proliferation speed of this first generation, then the time needed for first-generation Spirit Locks to spread throughout the True Phoenix Star Domain would approach infinity without end. Even hundreds of millions of years might not suffice for them to replicate across a Minor World.
But after one round of proliferation, the Spirit Lock's replication speed doubled!
Now, two Spirit Locks were replicating at the same time!
Next, there would be four Spirit Locks!
And so they would proliferate, proliferate, replicate without end...
"Beautiful."
"What a beautiful scene..."
Jiang Ding gazed appreciatively at a corner of this Great Thousand World, at a mountain forest.
