Today's second update: Chapter 2059! 2/3!
First, the key to victory or defeat in a race war.
What determined the outcome of a race war?
Killing every member of a race?
That was difficult to achieve in any race war other than a war of racial survival fought in isolation against a single race after emerging from the Wildlands Battlefield.
Every inch of land required bloodshed; a hundred thousand young men meant a hundred thousand soldiers. How could an entire race possibly be slaughtered?
Therefore, the key factors determining the course of a race war were the Race Nexus and the Strategic Points on the Race Battlefield.
For every race, regardless of its Sequence Ranking, the Race Nexus and all Strategic Points were split evenly, fifty-fifty.
What did that mean?
The Race Nexus was equivalent to a nation's capital, while Strategic Points were its major cities.
For those below challenging those above, what counted as a successful challenge, and what were the benefits of succeeding?
The first requirement for a successful challenge was to seize strategic territory accounting for 50% of the higher-ranked race's holdings.
In other words, either all Strategic Points or the Race Nexus alone could fulfill this victory condition.
After successfully occupying 50% of a race's strategic territory, race points would be settled before the Tier War had even ended.
That was the benefit of succeeding in a challenge. There was no need to wait until the First Tier War ended to change one's own Sequence Ranking.
Take the monkey race and the Shadow Wolf Clan as an example. If the monkey race successfully seized more than half of the Shadow Wolf Clan's strategic territory and held it for long enough, the points from the Shadow Wolf Clan's Strategic Points would automatically be transferred into the
