Today's second update: Chapter 2406! 2/4!
Just like the Fusang branch newly born on Golden Crow Star. Even the Phoenix Lord and the others knew full well that this was a way for the Wood Race to extend its reach into the Phoenix Race, but with mutual benefit in mind, they would neither reject it nor turn hostile.
They let it be and tacitly accepted it. Even the human race, which had previously driven out infiltrators from every race, retained enough Wood Race beings to maintain the ecological balance of a region.
The Wood Race might seem not to participate much in Myriad Races Affairs, but traces of the Wood Race could be found among all races.
Perhaps only the various races of the rivers and seas were somewhat better off.
Yet even duckweed belonged among herbaceous plants and trees, subject to the Wood Race's control.
Whenever there was the slightest disturbance among the races, the Wood Race would naturally be the first to learn of it.
Thus, whenever the races went to war, the first thing they had to do if they wanted to evade the Wood Race's watchful eyes was burn the mountains and destroy the forests.
Fortunately, though the Wood Race had many eyes and ears, unless the matter was important, information transmission was like tree roots buried underground—intertwined and tangled, requiring layer upon layer of delivery. Only after screening would certain crucial intelligence be submitted into the channels of the ancestral gods.
Someone had once said that Blue Star was a vast world of the Wood Race. That was no exaggeration. The Wood Race and the living beings of the other myriad races did not resemble one whole, but rather two parallel categories of life.
In terms of population, no race could surpass the Wood Race.
