Amid countless terrified gazes, the wild ox awakened!
Its twin horns burst forth from its body first. Their bases were as thick as thousand-zhang dark rocks, rising ten thousand zhang toward the heavens. The horns were covered in vigorous spiral patterns, like primordial inscriptions carved during the creation of heaven and earth. Their tips split the gale winds and punched two holes through the sky, while the starlight leaking through clung to them and turned into flowing silver flames.
Its head resembled an inverted black mountain. When its eyes opened, there was no Divine Light within them, only rolling muddy currents of reddish yellow that seemed capable of devouring the sun and moon. Its mouth and nostrils were as vast as deep valleys, and every breath expelled yellow winds laden with grit and sand. Wherever the winds passed, inch after inch of ice crystals condensed amid the clouds—the moisture had been frozen by its murderous aura.
The mane covering its body was no ordinary fur, but black iron spears, each several hundred zhang long, all standing on end. The skin visible between them was dark bronze, covered in bowl-sized calluses embedded with shattered stones and fragments of ancient bronze, like armor dragged back from a primordial battlefield. It was clearly a set of divine equipment fused into its body.
Its four hooves stood upon the void, each broader than a city. Whenever one came down, it stamped spiderweb-like cracks into space itself. Dark golden earth-vein energy seeped from those cracks and was inhaled by the beast, transforming into a chaotic mist that coiled around its body.
When it stood still, it was like a primordial totem guarding the ages. Its murderous aura condensed into substance, becoming phantoms of charging wild oxen that crashed and bellowed through the sea of clouds.
