Xu Kun turned the Ice Demon Wolves’ attacks against them, using Soul Sea Summon to build an army of soul soldiers and sealing their escape routes. After leveling up amid the slaughter, he saw Sikong Ting still holding off the larger pack and led half his soul soldiers to help.

• Xu Kun charged into the Ice Demon Wolves, while his summoned soul soldiers proved immune to the wolves’ attacks and began converting fallen wolves into more soldiers.
• Xu Kun killed the Ice Demon Wolf leader with the Judge's Soul-Reaping Brush, and Shen-bao refused to let him keep the dirty brush.

Xu Kun realized the spirit mine was a trap set by the wolf race, and the human forces were surrounded by overwhelming enemy armies. After an explosion and a catastrophic avalanche buried much of the joint army, he rallied the survivors to prepare for battle as Yelü Chongyuan approached.

• Leonid offered Xu Kun a share of the spirit mine, but Xu Kun explained he had warned them because he feared they could seize it without being able to hold it.
• Huang Rong and the others learned that wolf race armies and an Ice Demon Wolf King had surrounded them, while Xu Kun urged everyone to flee the mine.

As the snowfall began to bury them, Leonid and Huang Rong prepared to fight despite Xu Kun’s warning, leaving him to realize the enemy was attacking their morale.

• Huang Rong and Leonid ignored Xu Kun's objections and led their forces in a breakout through the Ninefold Ice Sealing Array.
• Yelü Chongyuan ordered the Khitan warriors to rain spears on the slowed attackers, and the breakout force suffered heavy casualties before retreating in chaos.

After defeating the Khitan army, Xu Kun forced Yelü Chongyuan to help Xiao Feng rise to power and implanted him with painful Life-Death Talismans when he refused to serve as an inside agent. Yelü Chongyuan finally submitted, leaving Xu Kun in control of his cooperation.

• The soul soldier army overwhelmed the Khitan forces, killing more than thirty thousand and taking over ten thousand prisoners.
• Xu Kun captured Yelü Chongyuan and ordered him to help Xiao Feng rise to become Khitan's ruler, using the prisoners as leverage to build Xiao Feng's standing.

• Xu Kun visited Vaki and presented him with the Ice Demon Wolf King’s pelt as proof of his strength.

Xu Kun learned that Ezreal and Lux had regained their youthful forms and discovered Ezreal’s secret about the Ice Wolf Mountain Range. The chapter ended with Ezreal revealing that the entire range was a vast Spirit Ore Vein and that he had mapped its mines and wolf packs.

• Xu Kun recognized Ezreal as the explorer who had survived the Lost Mist Realm, and Shen-bao confirmed that Ezreal had once lived there for thirty years.
• Ezreal explained that the frost poison came from Garu, a being born from a demigod’s body, and described how he had encountered it in the Ice Wolf Mountain Range.
• Ezreal revealed that the Ice Wolf Mountain Range was one massive Spirit Ore Vein and showed Xu Kun and Sikong Ting his annotated map.

Ezreal demonstrated Arcane Shift and gave the skill book to Xu Kun, who learned it and explained how his Magic Warrior class made it especially powerful. Ezreal then revealed that the richest spirit ores in the Ice Wolf Mountain Range gathered behind a sealed barrier, where a demigod’s body was using them for an unknown purpose.

• Ezreal showed Xu Kun and Sikong Ting how Arcane Shift let him teleport, then gave Xu Kun the skill book in repayment for saving Lanlan.
• Xu Kun learned Arcane Shift and explained that his Magic Warrior class and fast attacks made the skill’s effects unusually useful.
• Ezreal complained about the City of Glaciers and the Poisonous Mistlands, prompting Xu Kun to awkwardly realize that he was responsible for both places’ destruction or occupation.

Xu Kun unlocked the Demigod-rank Calamity of the Wolf God quest, which required him and his team to stop Garu from breaking free and kill him. Thor explained that he could destroy Garu’s soul only if Xu Kun first damaged its Demigod Body enough, leaving Xu Kun to consider how to overcome its defenses.

• Xu Kun triggered the third stage of Trial of the Brave and learned that Garu’s restoration and growing soul threatened everything below the twentieth floor.
• Xu Kun invited Sikong Ting, Shen-bao, Hao Jian, Su Xiaoxiao, and Zhan Rourou to join the quest, alongside Yang Yao, to meet its minimum team size.

Ezreal revealed that his weakening of the Eternal Frost Barrier could let Garu escape in a Demigod Body and threaten the native residents, so he gave Xu Kun the Trinity Force Emblem to help him fight Garu. He then asked Xu Kun to take Lanlan out of the Haotian Pagoda before she turned eighteen.

• Ezreal apologized for weakening the Eternal Frost Barrier and urged Xu Kun to kill Garu before the Demigod Body could be used to slaughter the residents.
• Ezreal explained that he and Lux had sealed their tiers for Lanlan’s sake, then recovered the Trinity Force Emblem pendant that Lux had kept.
