The black-clad man raised his head blankly, his face filled with pleading. He thought Senga was about to strike him.
"Tell me, were you and that guy guards of the Gorosei?"
"No, no, no! We're not worthy of being those lords' guards! We belong to Saintess Luria! That Devil Fruit was taken from her collection at the Gorosei's orders as a reward for you!"
"Then what was that performance of yours just now?"
The crew-cut man froze for a moment, then realized Senga was referring to their arrogant attitudes earlier. He stammered,
