Tian Ze proposed working with Zhao Zilong against Ji Wuye, and Yan Lingji persuaded Zhao Zilong to accept on the condition that their alliance ended once Ji Wuye was dead. As Zhao Zilong and Yan Lingji headed toward Purple Orchid Pavilion, Zhao Zilong attacked a man who looked like Ji Wuye and discovered he was an impostor.

• Tian Ze offered Zhao Zilong an alliance against Ji Wuye, but Zhao Zilong warned that working with him could expose Tian Ze to Nightfall and Luo Wang.
• Yan Lingji urged Zhao Zilong to cooperate with Tian Ze and offered to go with Zhao Zilong, so he agreed to target only Ji Wuye and then end the alliance.
• Zhao Zilong took Yan Lingji from the Crown Prince's residence and said they would return to Purple Orchid Pavilion.
• When Zhao Zilong saw a troop led by a man resembling Ji Wuye, he hid with Yan Lingji on a rooftop, then launched a surprise attack.

• Han Fei told Wei Zhuang that Tian Ze had allied with Zhao Zilong and that Bai Yifei had controlled Tian Ze with Gu poison.
• Han Fei proposed helping Tian Ze break free of Bai Yifei’s control so they could rescue Hong Lian and the Crown Prince and earn Zhao Zilong’s favor.

Wei Zhuang confronted Tian Ze and demanded that he hand over the Crown Prince of Han, leading to a fierce fight between them. Tian Ze’s Gu poison flared up and left him vulnerable, while Wei Zhuang sent Peerless Ghost flying.

• Tian Ze ordered Yan Lingji to bring Princess Hong Lian to him as Wei Zhuang arrived and faced Hundred Poisons King and Peerless Ghost.
• Wei Zhuang questioned Yan Lingji’s loyalties, then demanded that Tian Ze hand over the Crown Prince of Han.

• Zhao Zilong read that his God Exam was 70% complete after killing Ji Wuye, while Jade Tiger called for the Imperial Guards to capture him.
• Zhao Zilong escaped the General's Mansion, ignored Mo Ya's warning that Nightfall would pursue him, and met Zi Nu and Yan Lingji.
• Zhao Zilong told Zhang Kaidi that Ji Wuye was dead and demanded that he make the general's crimes public before sunset.
• Zhao Zilong showed Zi Nu and Yan Lingji the God Exam card, and they realized that exposing Ji Wuye's crimes would complete the exam.

• Tang Chen told Tang Hao to complete the God of Slaughter God Exam and help Tang San restore the Clear Sky Sect, and Tang Hao promised they would do so together.

After completing the Asura God First Trial and returning from another world, Zhao Zilong brought Yan Lingji and Zi Nu to a relay station near the Star Dou Great Forest, where he reunited with Yue Yao. He asked the Spirit Hall Grand Elder to help the two women awaken their Martial Souls.

• Zhao Zilong manifested his Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul and Fire Phoenix wings, then flew with Yan Lingji and Zi Nu to a nearby relay station.

Zhao Zilong took Yan Lingji and Zi Nu into the Star Dou Great Forest to find their First Soul Rings, deciding they could attempt thousand-year rings. After a pack of Mandala Snakes attacked and he froze them with Asura Hell, Zi Nu killed one and began absorbing its Soul Ring.

• Yue Yao declined to join Zhao Zilong, who led Yan Lingji and Zi Nu toward the Star Dou Great Forest to find their First Soul Rings.
