White mist rose from the stream in the mountain ravine. The water was clear as a lake mirror, while egrets and other waterbirds spread throughout the mountains according to the needs of their habitats. Countless living creatures dwelled and multiplied upon the dragon-shaped mountain. Midway up, it was high summer; farther up, bleak late autumn. Yet thick clouds obscured the heights, making the scenery above impossible to see.
A great butterfly silently skimmed across the tranquil lake, its fluttering wings leaving a trail of crystalline pollen.
