Demon

Bai Yujun lightly flicked a finger.

A faint wisp of Chunyang Art spiritual energy struck Xu Xian, and the aura of the Chunyang Art instantly drove away the sinister demonic energy.

While no one, including the demon, was paying attention, she straightened her palm and gathered spiritual energy, intending to strike and destroy the creature on the spot, restoring peace to the area and sparing the Demon Race more bad press. Then an idea suddenly flashed through her mind. She dispersed the spiritual energy in her hand. Bai Yujun had thought of something amusing: she would see whether this Young Master Xu could be scared to death by a demon, and perhaps take the chance to ask about other matters.

Standing to one side, she watched Xu Xian give instructions on medicine with a smile. It was rather interesting.

Xu Xian occasionally turned to glance at the white figure beside him, his mood bright. He was very happy today, and his whole body brimmed with energy as he worked.

Jealousy flashed through Lai Wu's eyes, followed by a cold sneer...

Once they had finished their work, Bai Yujun and Xu Xian took their leave.

"Lai Wu, hurry and see Young Master Xu and this young lady off."

"Yes, Master."

Lai Wu had already planned to follow them out. Now that the estate owner had instructed him to do so, he became even more enthusiastic in greeting them and leading the way. He looked exactly like a simple, honest farmhand and guard, diligent and tireless in serving his master's Household. Yet appearances, and what the eyes saw, could be terribly deceptive.

He escorted them all the way to the main gate, and Lai Wu followed them outside.

Xu Xian spoke his thanks.
