Mist shrouded the towering pavilions; flowers bloomed by the water, their fragrance drifting far. Vermilion beams, jade halls, jade roof tiles, and blue-green glazed tiles gleamed.
Wang Su walked through layer upon layer of the Jade Pool with precise, standard steps. She passed wondrous flowers, jade grasses, and jade bridges, amid fragrant rainbow-colored grass and clouds of mist that bewildered the eye. Strange waters lay mirror-still and fragrant as she headed straight for the most mysterious and beautiful building at the heart of the Jade Pool to meet the Queen Mother.
Flower Fairies stood on either side. Wang Su did not even dare raise her head to look at the Queen Mother seated high above, and performed a formal salute.
"Empress, Mythical Beast White Dragon Bai Yujun requests a transfer to serve in the Female Guard Camp. You once said that matters concerning the White Dragon were to be reported to you. This Minor Immortal did not dare make the decision on her own."
The hall was quiet. The Queen Mother, seated high above in splendid attire, seemed to be considering how to arrange matters.
Dragons were divine beasts. Over countless years, the surviving divine dragons could be counted on one's fingers and were nearly extinct. No one could say whether the affairs of ancient times had been right or wrong. In the end, one era had ended and a new one begun; whatever had been done back then could no longer be changed. She had thought the dragon race would gradually wither away and vanish like the phoenixes.
Yet unexpectedly, an inconspicuous Small World had produced a wild Little White Dragon.
There had been no other dragons using special methods to assist her and awaken her bloodline, nor had she consumed the legendary dragon crystals or dragon
