Above and below lay clear reflections; the small pool was still.
Faint bone spurs surfaced on the lake. Beneath the water, a slender white figure lay coiled in ambush. A breeze stirred, and the green leaves of the ancient tree rustled. The girl in green flitted busily about, gathering all manner of fruits.
At the bottom of the pool, amid the clear water and brilliantly colored stones, the white flood dragon with her chin against the pebbles stirred slightly.
Her eyelids parted, revealing vertical pupils.
Only then did Bai Yujun remember that the Mysterious Girl called Mu had stuffed her full of medicine. Those fruits teemed with vitality and had unexpectedly nourishing effects on the body. "Come on~ There's more delicious food here. Eat more so you can grow faster~"
After calling out, Mu flew to the corner of her mouth and gave it a gentle tug. Effortlessly, she pried open the huge, ferocious maw several times larger than herself, lined with sharp teeth. She tossed the spiritual fruit straight in, then lifted her little hand and closed Bai Yujun's mouth.
"Eat without worry~ I've stored up lots of them~"
