Rumble!
Lightning tore through the dim sky, electric serpents flickering. The wind rose, waves surged, and a petite figure in white stood unmoving amid the wind and rain. Her long hair danced wildly, dark strands veiling her face but unable to conceal her Dao Heart.
Her snake body transformed back into legs. She stepped back with her left foot and held the heavy ruler at an angle.
The water before the lone island suddenly rose, and six water demons stood atop the churning wave crests at the same height as Bai Yujun.
She carefully sensed the cultivation of the six water demons. Luckily, the strongest was roughly equivalent to a human at the Foundation Establishment Middle Stage, which was fairly formidable. The others were all at the Foundation Establishment Early Stage. There were a few too many of them, but she could still handle it—at least she would not have to run.
The six creatures were of different kinds.
One had an exaggeratedly huge, whiskered mouth and resembled a catfish. It had only crudely transformed two legs and two arms, while its body remained that of a catfish, with a long tail. Two resembled lizards, though they also looked somewhat like giant salamanders. They likewise retained tails, their skin rough all over as they brandished two rust-covered iron rods. One looked like a water snake. Though it had no tail, it bore a snake's head. The last two were softshell turtle demons—or, rather, bastard turtle spirits—with shells on their backs, hunched waists, crooked backs, and long beards.
Bai Yujun curled her lip. She had actually forced these creatures to join forces.
The Foundation Establishment Middle Stage old Softshell Turtle Demon stepped forward a few paces.
"Cough, cough. Little Girl, why must you make things difficult for us?"
It could speak.
