  • Wang Wu planted the nine Berry Seeds in a moist, sheltered spot and sealed the rat hole for possible use in winter.

Ch. 63The Rainy Season Arrived

As the rainy season arrived, Wang Wu considered using the weakened Danger Sense of other Sprites to hunt for food in the southern forest. At the swollen river, a strange frog-like creature mistook him for prey and froze him with an icy spear.

  • Wang Wu spent 780 spirit energy on his attributes, raising his stamina to 300, agility to 15, and defense to 21.
  • After days of continuous rain, Wang Wu confirmed the rainy season had begun and noticed that the downpour weakened his Level 6 Danger Sense.
  • Wang Wu headed south along the swollen creek, hoping to find food, but stopped when it had become a wide, fast-flowing river.
  • A frog-like creature emerged from the river, accused Wang Wu of crossing its border, and decided to send his body to its King.
  • The creature threw an ice-infused barbed spear; Wang Wu slipped in the mud, and the attack froze him into a lump of ice.

Ch. 64Bar Snacks

Wang Wu killed River Demon Lang Li Da Tiao after pretending to be frozen, then devoured most of it and used the spirit energy he gained to raise his Self-Healing Talent to Level 10. He returned to his hiding place with substantial Fullness, spirit energy, Ice Spirit Energy, Growth Rate, and venom resistance, and wondered whether to upgrade his Spiritual Resonance Talent.

  • Wang Wu pretended to be dead and frozen until River Demon Lang Li Da Tiao dragged him ashore, then broke free and attacked it.
  • River Demon Lang Li Da Tiao froze them both and sprayed venom that corroded Wang Wu and blinded him, but Wang Wu held on and fought back.
  • Wang Wu's Self-Healing Talent kept restoring him as he fought, and he eventually killed River Demon Lang Li Da Tiao and ate most of its body.
  • Wang Wu spent 420 spirit energy to raise his Self-Healing Talent from Level 7 to Level 10, then ate more to replenish his Fullness.
  • Wang Wu washed away his tracks in the rising creek, returned to his rock crevice, and reviewed the rewards before considering whether to upgrade his Spiritual Resonance Talent.

  • Wang Wu examined his resistances and wondered whether accumulating more Ice Spirit Energy would advance his Ice Spirit Root before exhaustion put him to sleep.
  • Three River Patrol Demons blamed the South Mountain Great King's Patrolling Demon Soldiers for capturing and eating their brother, Big Stripe in the Waves, but could not attract help.
  • Wang Wu woke after the rain, found his surroundings quiet, and ate ten Devil Vine roots he had hidden in a rock crack.
  • Wang Wu's Self-Healing Talent activated after the poison weakened, costing him satiety and raising his Paralysis Toxin Resistance to 7.

Ch. 66The Second Great Fireball

Wang Wu stayed hidden after building up his poison resistance, reflected on the plants he had cultivated, and watched another great fireball fall in the distance. After sunrise, he used Level 2 Spiritual Essence to absorb Golden Particles and raised his Defense to 27, leaving him closer to his goal of 30.

  • Wang Wu consumed the remaining Devil Vine and gained one more point of Paralysis Toxin Resistance, bringing his total to 8.
  • Wang Wu emerged after the rain, checked the plants he had grown, and took comfort in their growth while deciding to hide nearby in case the River Patrol Demon had backing.
  • Wang Wu watched the eastern horizon brighten as another great fireball fell far away, and suspected that another migrating Sprite tribe would arrive.
  • Wang Wu hid during the Violet Gold Three Minutes, then activated Level 2 Spiritual Essence after the Golden Three Minutes began and absorbed 192 points of spiritual energy.

  • The Little Mountain Pig offered Wang Wu a position as its demon soldier under the South Mountain Great King, but Wang Wu fled.
  • Wang Wu stayed concealed and wary for two days while cautiously absorbing Golden Particles and investing spiritual energy in Basic Defense until his Defense reached 30.

  • Wang Wu spent Spirit Energy to raise Basic Defense to 31 and Health to 340, keeping 70 points in reserve.
