Lucius Malfoy was undoubtedly a treacherous viper. What could working with someone like him bring? Betrayal?
A mocking curve formed on Aiden's uninjured right cheek. "Mr. Malfoy, do you think there is still a place for me in London? This city is already packed with Muggles from all over the world. That man... Wayne, he has put the entire city under a massive spotlight."
"A spotlight?" Lucius practically forced the word through clenched teeth. "It is nothing more than a stunt concocted by fools with no taste or vision! Does Wayne think blowing up Gringotts and parading through the streets on a fire dragon counts as strength? That is merely a barbaric display! He has drawn the filthy, curious, frightened eyes of Muggles toward our world!"
He heavily tapped the ground with his Serpent-head Cane. "No class! No strategy whatsoever! He has exposed the Wizarding World to unnecessary risks and disrupted countless people... including me."
A glint flashed through Aiden's eyes.
It seemed Wayne had not only caused trouble for him, but also for the slightly rattled Lucius before him.
"Mr. Malfoy, judging by your tone, you seem to dislike this Dark Lord of the new age?"
Lucius snorted. "He is just a smug little bastard. He has a bit of cleverness, but he will never amount to much."
Aiden understood. They both came from the Sacred Twenty-Eight; the more lightly Lucius dismissed him, the more it revealed Wayne's capabilities.
"Mr. Malfoy, what do you want from me?"
Lucius regained his usual composure, his eyes sharpening. "Mr. Selwyn, I, along with certain... patrons who share my views, believe that rather than letting that brute continue to defile our world with explosions and flames, it would be better to introduce methods that are more creative, artistic, and intimidating as a warning."
