The entire building at 139 Oxford Street had been painstakingly built up by Old Wayne after he went into business.
Besides this one, he owned another seven or eight buildings scattered along the street.
The first floor of Number 139 was Wayne's department store.
The second floor belonged to Vincent's parents.
The rent-free third floor, the entire level, belonged to him.
"I don't care! I want to go to Hogwarts!"
"Wake up, kid. Magic doesn't exist."
Vincent hugged the owl and strode into the store.
He walked up to his mother, Evelyn, who was sitting behind the glass counter, then pouted at Eric, who had followed after him in a rush and a fury.
"Mom, I'm not going to Westminster anymore."
"Why not?"
"One Ring to rule them all!"
Evelyn glanced at a complete official book series on the shelf beside her. "Sweetheart, are you going to search for your very own One Ring?"
"Yes." Vincent held the owl high over his head. "It can prove that the wizarding world exists!"
"Gu Gu—" The owl proudly nodded, leaving even Eric behind them rather puzzled.
This peculiar little creature actually seemed able to understand human speech.
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
He pointed at the owl's little head. "Kid, it's one hundred percent fishing..."
There were plenty of people named Wayne in all of London. Casting a wide net would always hook someone willing to bite.
Vincent turned the owl around to face him. "Do you eat fish?"
"Gu—" It shook its head.
"Bugs?"
"Gu—" It shook its head again.
"Mice?"
"Gu gu!"
Only after the owl nodded did Vincent look at his stunned parents.
"See? It said it doesn't eat fish."
Evelyn, who still had no idea what was going on, and Eric, who was trembling all over, could only stare blankly
