The meeting point for Care of Magical Creatures was outside Hagrid's cabin.
Astoria and Rolf had no classes that afternoon, and both decided to spend more time getting close to Little Black.
Especially Rolf.
He swore he would make Little Black lower that proud dog head, even wagering the Scamander family's reputation on it.
"Good luck." Vincent gave him a comforting hug.
After giving them a few reminders, Hermione and Daphne headed out of the Forbidden Forest as well.
Rolf looked left at Crookshanks, who had jumped onto Jormungandr's forehead, then right at Astoria, who was brushing Little Black's fur.
They had already gotten along better with it than he had. It was as if he were the one who needed looking after.
Outside the cabin at the edge of the Forbidden Forest,
Hagrid stood in a moleskin coat, patiently waiting for the students to arrive.
Fang, the brown-furred boarhound, stood at his feet, looking as though he could not wait to set off somewhere.
From afar, the three emerging from the Forbidden Forest spotted three all-too-familiar backs of heads.
"As long as that Big Dummy is teaching, Care of Magical Creatures will be just as awful as Defense Against the Dark Arts."
"Draco, what should we do then?"
"Are we supposed to put up with it for a whole year?"
Draco kicked the "monster book" tied up with rope at his feet.
"Idiots. That Big Dummy picked textbooks this dangerous. An accident will happen within a few lessons."
Crabbe and Goyle laughed so hard that the fat on their faces jiggled, making them look exactly like two plump, pale pigs.
Vincent, standing behind them, inexplicably recalled the crackling sound from last night.
It should not be that dangerous. Maybe it just looked frightening?
