"This is..." Hermione's voice trembled slightly.
"New Century Prometheus No. 3."
Her eyes widened abruptly. "The Rainbow Bridge Project—the New Century Prometheus from the Bifrost Project you proposed to Muggle governments around the world? That controllable nuclear fusion reactor?!"
Vincent nodded lightly. "That's right. This is the No. 3 model, improved from the No. 1 prototype. The living quarters, training areas, laboratories, control center, and other sections here are all powered by it."
Hermione looked at the spherical device floating quietly in the air. "Can it keep running forever?"
Vincent tapped a projected screen, which immediately displayed charts for temperature, pressure, energy output, and other data. "Hmm... its output is currently stable. If nothing unexpected happens, it can operate for at least another twenty years."
Hermione was quietly stunned.
