When Vincent found them, he happened to see Hermione with her back to him, seemingly viciously kicking a senior male student in the groin.
Several patches of nearby grass had been noticeably flattened, and the two school robes lying in the distance were ragged and torn. Their clothes were rumpled too...

His expression darkened terrifyingly.
If he had not invited them over, if he had noticed something was wrong sooner...
This was his responsibility, a responsibility no excuse could absolve him of.
Sensing something, Hermione stopped and turned around with Daphne.
If not for the ash-blond hair and deep blue eyes, they would have thought Snape had arrived.
As he walked over, he opened his suitcase and took out two dark coats.
"Vincent, actually, he—"
"I know. He will pay the price."
Hermione and Daphne exchanged a glance, each tightening the coat draped over her shoulders.
Vincent crouched down, set down his suitcase, and grabbed Byron by the hair with one hand.
His other hand held his wand as he drove it into that large face covered in footprints.
"Ah—"
Byron opened his eyes. Before he could feel the pain wracking his body, Vincent's grim expression terrified him.
"Wayne—Wayne—"
"Tell me. Who sent you?"
"I—I—"
Vincent put away his wand, grabbed his arm, and twisted it backward halfway around.
With a crisp crack, the arm dislocated.
"Ah—" Byron's swollen face twisted into a mess from the pain.
"You cannot take it already? Think about how you treated them."
He twisted the arm another half-turn in the same direction, and Byron tore his throat apart with a pig-slaughtering scream.
Despite how brutal the scene was, both girls felt warmth in their hearts.
"I am especially out of patience right now." Vincent's voice was low as he grabbed Byron's other, uninjured
