Chapter Summaries

After the war ended, Nagato left Amegakure to help conquer the Pure Land, while Gengetsu stayed home with his daughter. The Shinobi World’s forces arrived in the Pure Land and formed four teams to clear Evil Spirits and gather wandering souls.

• Nagato released the Tailed Beasts, left Konan and Yahiko in Amegakure, and traveled to Konoha to enter the Pure Land.
• Kakashi activated the large-scale transmission formula, sending Hashirama Senju, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Fugaku Uchiha, Itachi Uchiha, and Nagato to the Pure Land.
• Tobirama Senju welcomed the arrivals alongside the Sage of Six Paths, Hamura, past Kage, and other dead ninja, including Kagami Uchiha.
• The Sage of Six Paths and Hamura organized four teams to clear Evil Spirits in the directions around the God Tree and gather wandering souls.

Kagami learned that the Uchiha Clan was thriving in Konoha and resolved to keep fighting despite being dead. In Konoha, Kakashi confessed his love to Rin, and years later Reigetsu awakened the Rinnegan while still a toddler.

• Itachi told Kagami that Shisui had married Kaori and that the Uchiha Clan's crisis had passed, prompting Kagami to praise Konoha's era and vow not to be surpassed by the young.
• Obito told Kakashi he would watch over Rin from the darkness and left before Kakashi could tell him that Rin wanted him to stay.

Gengetsu created a silver dragon for Ao Cang and spent a peaceful year with his family while Konoha and other villages prospered. The calm ended when Hashirama returned from the Pure Land with news that the Evil God and Shinigami had teamed up and injured the Sage of Six Paths and Nagato.

• Gengetsu discovered that the Evil God’s Cursed Seal was draining Nagato and shattered it with a blade of Rinne Tenseigan power.

Gengetsu began establishing reincarnation in the Pure Land, creating gates that connected it to the Shinobi World and halls to judge and prepare souls for rebirth. He appointed Itachi as the first Judge and set Nagato to help erase memories, but the core of reincarnation had yet to be completed.

• Gengetsu persuaded the Shinigami to join them and led him and the others to the first level of the Pure Land to establish reincarnation.
• Gengetsu used the Evil God's five pairs of Rinnegan to mark every living person in the Shinobi World and create ten gates that would draw marked souls into the Pure Land.
