• Gengetsu examined Shukaku’s Chakra with Gengetsu Sun and Gengetsu Star, then sealed eight clone bodies in a scroll.

Gengetsu fought Danzo and defeated four Root Ninja before Hiruzen Sarutobi’s order ended the battle. Back in Konoha, Hiruzen told Gengetsu that the other ninja villages had learned about Dragon Vein Energy and were targeting Rōran, while Gengetsu noticed an eighty-million bounty on his head.

• Gengetsu attacked Danzo with Rasengan and water-based techniques, then traded Wind Release attacks with him as their battle intensified.
• Gengetsu and Danzo prepared to fight at close range, but two ANBU Ninja arrived with Hiruzen Sarutobi’s order for Danzo to return to Konoha.

• Kakuzu transformed into a tentacled monster and sent masked creatures to attack Gengetsu with Water, Earth, and Lightning Release.
