"Ha ha!" Rocket waved a hand dismissively. "I don't have the good habit of paying back what I owe."
"You're planning to welsh on the debt? On my turf?"
"Wow! You got it right." Rocket laughed as he pulled out an energy cannon from behind his back. "There's only one of you, but there are five of us. If you know what's good for you, then..."
Before he could finish, Aaron swiftly drew Shore Flower and pulled the trigger with precision.
In the blink of an eye, a golden streak shot down the energy cannon in Rocket's hands. Seeing that things had gone south, Peter Quill and Drax instinctively drew their weapons.
Facing the black muzzles of their guns, Aaron was utterly disdainful. "Want to compare? See whose gun is faster?"
"Even more arrogant than me." Peter Quill spoke unconcernedly. "Even if this planet is yours, we're the Guardians of the Galaxy."
"Want to compare?" Aaron asked with an amused smile.
"Of course."
Rocket bared his teeth, rolled across the ground to grab the energy cannon, and pulled the trigger at Aaron.
He had not intended to kill anyone. This shot would only fire an electric orb. Once Aaron had enjoyed the full-body convulsions of electrotherapy, he would find himself a prisoner.
As for when they would let him go, it would probably be the day they repaired their ship and left Bohart Star.
A golden Alchemical Bullet suddenly flew out, easily shattering the blue electric orb. Its power did not diminish as it struck the energy cannon head-on, the powerful impact sending Rocket flying several meters away.
"Wortefa..." Rocket quickly scrambled to his feet and stared in shock at the thumb-sized dent in his weapon. "What kind of gun is that?"
