The Kree swung his axe and charged at Skye with a low growl, like a raging bull.
The distance between them vanished in an instant, and the bloodstained axe blade cleaved straight at Skye's face.
Skye sidestepped, then punched him in the chest the instant he changed his move and swept the axe horizontally.
The Kree staggered, and his attack stalled.
Seizing the opportunity, Skye lunged forward and landed two consecutive punches on the Kree's face.
Bang! Bang!
The two dull impacts made Dr. Radcliffe's heart tremble. He had no doubt that one punch like that would knock him unconscious until the next day.
Yet the Kree continued swinging his axe as if nothing had happened. Ordinary attacks like those clearly did nothing to him; they were little more than a scratch.
Skye repeatedly dodged the Kree's axe, then widened the distance slightly, braced both hands on the ground, and kicked at his chin.
The legs were several times stronger than the arms. Even with the Kree's astonishing resilience, he could not help letting out a muffled groan.
The Kree grunted and staggered back a step.
Skye wanted to press the attack, but before her fist could reach the Kree this time, he grabbed her arm.
He shoved her, yanked her back, then struck her shoulder with his palm.
Skye flew backward and knocked an examination table in front of Dr. Radcliffe askew.
The difference in strength was simply that great. The Kree could endure countless attacks from Skye, but Skye might not be able to endure even one attack from him.
"You said you could handle him," Dr. Radcliffe said anxiously. "Now we're all going to die."
"No one will die today." Skye got to her feet and fired a shockwave at the Kree's arm.
Crack!
A bone-breaking sound
