"Back to the point!" Strange took a deep breath and looked at Aaron seriously. "What do you need me to do?"
"Just don't let the Sorcerer Supreme down," Aaron said succinctly.
"Huh? Are you sure?" Strange frowned in confusion. "You healed my crippled hands, and I promised you three conditions.
"The first was confessing my feelings to Christine. I'm deeply grateful for that.
"The second was coming to Kamar-Taj to study magic. I'm doing that, and I haven't slacked off at all.
"But this third one..."
"Just say whether you agree or not."
"I agree, but it still feels pretty baffling!"
"You'll find out soon enough." Aaron smiled mysteriously, then looked at the watch on Strange's wrist. "A friendly reminder: if you really can't hold on and want to give up, take a look at the time.
"When I attended magic school, our headmaster strongly believed that love was the greatest power in the world. Maybe you can prove it."
Strange nodded blankly. He did not quite understand what Aaron meant, but instinctively felt oppressed, as though an enormous dark cloud hung over his head.
He left the tent distractedly and was caught off guard by the downpour outside. A gust of cold wind made him shudder, and he quickened his pace toward the library.
