Thinking back on those days made Aaron feel stifled, but that miserable life was already behind him.
He had endured for seven years. He had finally made it through.
"Ah!" Ava suddenly groaned, layers of afterimages spreading from her body. "It hurts. It hurts so much."
"The chamber," Bill said immediately. "Get her inside, now."
"There's no need to make this so complicated." Aaron spoke casually, using telekinesis to float Ava before him. "Consider this a token of my sincerity."
Aaron tapped her forehead with a finger, and the Horse Talisman pattern in his pupils quickly lit up.
As the energy capable of healing all things flowed into Ava's body, her form gradually solidified, and the pain of her cells tearing apart and reassembling was replaced by warmth.
"It doesn't hurt anymore." Ava clenched her hands in astonishment, weeping with joy. "It doesn't hurt anymore, Bill."
"Did you cure her?" Bill asked, hopeful yet uneasy.
"More or less." Aaron lightly brushed the tabletop with his right hand, and an octagonal rune stone bearing a blue horse-head pattern appeared beneath his palm. "A noble horse can expel abnormal external forces, dispel all illness, remove every injury, and restore one to their most perfect state."
Aaron placed the Horse Talisman in his hand, letting everyone watch it merge into his body. "The power to heal everything is one of the authorities I possess."
