"That sounds strangely familiar." Thor spoke thoughtfully. "I remember now. When Hela fell from the Bifrost, she caught up to Loki and me, then knocked us into Sakaar through the passage."
"Luckily, you were thrown into the spacetime turbulence. Otherwise, you wouldn't have ended up on Sakaar—you'd have landed in Asgard's dungeon. With Frigga there, she could probably get you Loki's old cell."
Thor: ...
"And then you both arrived on Earth at the same time?"
"Not exactly. She arrived a little later than I did. But she found my house and threatened me using my identity. Gaius, the fact that she knew magic was enough for her to piece some things together. Left with no choice, I signed an equal contract with her. I provided her with a safe place to stay, somewhere even Heimdall's eyes couldn't find her, and she kept my identity secret. One thing led to another, and she lived in my house for several years. Naturally, Wanda and Daisy got to know her too."
Thor frowned and pondered for a while. "So you don't want me to go back and fight her for the throne?"
"No, you misunderstood. I have no interest whatsoever in who inherits Asgard's throne. Sooner or later, I'll leave this universe. You may not like hearing this, but once I'm gone, I won't care if the world floods."
"Huh?" Thor tugged at the corner of his mouth in confusion. "I don't really understand."
"Everything in this universe has nothing to do with me. As long as it doesn't interfere with me, that's enough."
"Asgard's affairs shouldn't
