Enormous gears abruptly appeared at the edge of the battlefield, then spread apart and rolled forward upright, like harvesters indiscriminately grinding up every living thing in their path.

"Retreat, retreat immediately." T'Challa gave the order at once. Even his Vibranium suit might not withstand those blade-edged wheels, dozens of meters tall, rolling over it—much less ordinary Wakandan warriors.

"Focus fire on the left side, Sam," Rhodey said.

"I'm firing!" Sam flew to the left side of one massive wheel and attacked alongside Rhodey, effectively slowing it down and forcing it off course.

But they only had time to stop one gear. More gears continued rolling unstoppably toward the main battlefield.

The Wakandan warriors were tightly pinned down by the Outriders and had no chance to retreat. Once those wheels rolled through, at least half of them would be killed or wounded.

A huge orange Magic Array appeared directly before the densely packed gears, stopping their advance.

"Wong!" Strange shouted.

"I know." Wong immediately stretched out his arm and drew a circle before him, summoning a massive portal that redirected the giant wheels toward a gap in the barrier.

The gigantic gears madly shredded the hordes of Outriders charging into the opening, then crashed straight into the protective shield and were swallowed by flames amid the explosion.

"I'd dare say no mage in Kamar-Taj is better with portals than I am, but this is seriously exhausting work," Wong said, panting.

"Wong, pull yourself together! If we lose this battle, you'll be Kamar-Taj's next Sorcerer Supreme." Strange said with a half-joking smile.

Yet the moment the words left his mouth, the earth beneath Strange lifted him and sent him flying rapidly beyond the barrier.
