"And you're just giving it to me?" Strange asked incredulously.

"I'm going home. This thing is useless to me now, but it could change your fate."

Strange's expression turned solemn. "What do you mean?"

"Playing with time always comes at a cost. This Resurrection Card has been infused with my blood, so in a sense, it can offset fate's scrutiny. Consider it a chance for you to make a mistake—or make up for one."

"Can't you be clearer?" Strange frowned, instinctively feeling uneasy, as though some disaster was about to befall him.

"I'm a god. Isn't it only natural for me to speak mysteriously?" Aaron smiled carelessly. "You'll understand when it happens. A Resurrection Card infused with Gaius blood can solve the problem perfectly. Until then, don't use it casually, or you'll regret it for the rest of your life."

Strange seemed to understand, though not entirely. "Thank you."

"Don't thank me just yet. This treasure isn't free."

"Thank God." Strange inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief. "Free things are the most expensive. If you really gave it to me for nothing, I'd be worried instead."

"How cheap."

"Fine, call me cheap. What are the conditions?"

"If another Gaius comes to this universe in the future, Kamar-Taj must help him unconditionally."

"That's all?"

"That's all." Aaron nodded firmly.

"You actually care about that?"

"Because any unfortunate bastard who comes to this universe after me will most likely be one of my descendants. Trick spent countless years setting
