"That future may be thousands of years away," Aaron interjected at an inopportune moment. After his brief exchange with Odin, he had grown bolder and lost his earlier unease.
"Forgive me, Your Majesty.
Thor relies too heavily on Mjolnir now, to the point that he has neglected himself.
Without that hammer, he cannot even be called the God of Thunder."
"That was my oversight. Thor is more reckless than I thought." Odin gave a self-deprecating smile. "But I cannot take it back now. He still has too much to do and temporarily needs the power of lightning.
Still, you make a good point. I will find an opportunity to make him lose his hammer."
"Where were we?" Odin asked Frigga beside him.
"Thor's potential is greater than yours was in your youth."
Odin nodded slightly. "As Gaius said, for him to reach my current level, let alone surpass me, he would need at least several thousand years of divine power accumulation.
But the gears of Ragnarok will begin turning after my death. Thor does not have that much time."
"On the other hand, I have no other choice." The gloom on Odin's face deepened. "I want Thor to become powerful so that, after Ragnarok, he will have the ability to protect the people of Asgard.
