Nick Fury Is Hiding Something, Gaius's Secret?

"I need you to perform another Divination," Nick Fury said gravely. "The location of the Cosmic Cube."

"Director Fury, I can't divine an exact location." Aaron was speechless. "My Divination can only find the most likely possibility among countless futures."

"Do it. Even a clue would be good."

"And the price?" Aaron rubbed his fingers together awkwardly. "It might not be cheap."

"You'll be compensated."

"Good." Aaron smiled faintly, then took out the Crystal Ball from his ring and began the Divination.

Through layers of fog, a blue beam shot straight into the sky. Countless alien soldiers rampaged above the city, while screams and explosions repeatedly rang in his ears.

Aaron took a deep breath and calmed himself slightly.

"Did you get anything?"

"Director Fury, all I can say is that buying ammunition from me was an absolutely wise decision." Aaron spoke meaningfully. "I didn't see where the Cosmic Cube was, but I saw a war—a war caused by the Cosmic Cube.

Loki's plan will most likely succeed. S.H.I.E.L.D. should prepare for war."

Nick Fury: ...

Should he kill Loki now?

No. If Asgard went to war with Earth, the consequences would be unimaginable. Besides, Thrór would never allow it.

"Thank you for your Divination. I'll take precautions."

Aaron shrugged indifferently. He had given the warning he needed to give. The rest could unfold naturally. As long as he retrieved the Cosmic Cube in the end, his mission would be complete.

"May I ask where the kitchen is?

I need to make a late-night meal. I'm not quite used to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s food."

Nick Fury rolled his eyes and casually called over an agent to take Aaron to the cafeteria.

"Natasha, I need you to talk to Loki."

"I was just about to go. But I don't think I'll get much
