"Good luck. My spirit is with you." Aaron seriously tapped his left shoulder. "I won't be joining in. Remember to call me once it's done."
"Y-you're not going?" Skye asked in surprise.
"I believe you can do it."
"This doesn't seem like a matter of belief, does it?"
"I'm only a temporary consultant who joined the team. It'd be good enough if I didn't get in your way."
"But you can help."
"This is your adjustment period." Aaron shrugged and said earnestly, "I could leave Coulson's team at any time. Helping now wouldn't benefit you in the long run."
Skye wanted to say something else, but May interrupted her. "Fine. If he's not joining, he's not joining!"
Skye rolled her eyes at him speechlessly, then looked at the others. "We're all decided, right? Everyone agrees?"
"We all agree."
"Just get it done quickly."
"No regrets, no panicking."
"Because that would... get everyone killed."
"You talk too much." May got into a car and floored the accelerator, crashing through the laboratory doors.
The entire plane shook, and the people upstairs immediately realized something had gone wrong with the prisoners.
Several subordinates immediately picked up their guns and headed for the cargo hold, but Reyes stopped them at once. "Don't. That's exactly what they want."
Having successfully broken into the laboratory, the group split up. Ward and Skye took ropes from a cabinet, Simmons dismantled a vent in the ceiling, Fitz took a controller from an equipment case and piloted a drone out through the vent, while May pushed open another door and charged straight toward the cockpit.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. 616, radar has visual on you. Requesting confirmation of your course change, over."
A woman's voice came through Coulson's radio. Reyes immediately drew her gun and aimed it at Coulson's head. "Answer them,
