Two members of The Hand suddenly appeared at the doorway, opening fire with machine guns.
A dense barrage of bullets struck Luke, turning his black coat into a sieve in an instant.
Yet he himself did not budge in the slightest. Diamond Skin allowed him to ignore the threat of ordinary firearms.
With Luke drawing their fire, Danny seized the opportunity to dart out from behind him. A spinning side kick knocked one man unconscious, while Luke decisively knocked out the other.
"Holy shit!" Aaron cursed as he saw members of The Hand flooding in and blocking both the front and rear doors. Quite a few of them were holding tranquilizer guns.
"Alexandra, at least let me leave first!"
"I told you, Mr. Gaius may leave whenever he wishes." Alexandra smiled. "They would never disrespect a guest of The Hand."
"But what if they accidentally hurt me?"
"Then all I can do is apologize. But whoever harms a guest of The Hand will face severe punishment."
"Of course, if you are willing to join The Hand, then that would naturally be a different matter."
Aaron blinked blankly, then revealed a mocking smile. His opinion of The Hand plummeted.
Originally, he had felt nothing in particular toward The Hand. Murder, arson, extortion, racketeering—those were matters for the police. He could easily turn a blind eye.
He admitted that he was not some noble person. There was nothing shameful about staying out of things that had nothing to do with him.
But The Hand's behavior now disappointed him greatly. Couldn't they learn something from Kingpin?
