"Do you know what you're doing?" Charles asked anxiously. "If you choose to help Apocalypse, Mutants will be completely exposed to the public eye."
"I don't see what's wrong with that." Erik was unconcerned. "Mutants are born different. It is a gift Heaven has bestowed upon a select few. Even if we cannot stand above others, we should at least enjoy certain privileges. And even without privileges, we should at least be treated fairly! But what is the reality? Fairness is far too extravagant a word for Mutants. Even survival must be fought for with everything we have."
"Things are getting better. The world is becoming a better place. You should be more patient."
"Wake up, Charles." Erik sounded weary. "Prejudice has always existed. They fear us, hate us, envy us. The school you founded is nothing but self-deceiving, false peace. Once they are capable of dealing with you, you and your students will become targets for slaughter. If we do not erupt in silence, then we will perish in silence. I've had enough of hiding in dark corners like a rat, and Apocalypse happens to be able to let the world hear the voice of Mutants."
"Apocalypse won't succeed. S.H.I.E.L.D. found three Stone Tablets in Cairo, including a prophecy about Apocalypse breaking free. His ambitions will not come to pass."
"What prophecy Stone Tablets?" Erik asked with a frown.
"I'm only telling you that you shouldn't help him. You'll become a target for everyone."
"Heh heh! Charles, do you think I care about that? What else do I have left to lose?"
Hearing this, Charles fell silent as well, unable to respond.
Erik had nothing left now. Naturally, he had no reservations when he acted.
"As for the prophecy..." Erik sneered. "It would naturally be good if Apocalypse succeeds.
