"Where's Pietro?" Aaron changed the subject. "He should be healed by now, right?"
"He is. He's lively as ever." Wanda smiled with relief, her eyes full of gratitude as she looked at Aaron.
"Then where is he?"
"Uh... he's probably bothering Jane! It's his first time seeing a vampire."
"Fuck! He dares set his sights on one of mine? Is he tired of living?" Aaron cursed and stormed toward the workshop.
"I told you before, Jane Volturi would be the sixth one." Hela curled her lips into a meaningful smile. "Do you believe me now?"
Aaron, who had just reached the door, nearly stumbled at those words.
He shot Hela a fierce glare, then pushed open the workshop door without explaining himself.
Pietro, his face bruised and swollen, was behaving as obediently as a schoolboy. Under Jane's direction, he used his super speed to take materials from the shelves and carefully toss them into the cauldron.
"What... happened here?" Aaron asked, somewhat baffled.
"The weak provoke the strong, so they must be punished." Jane raised a brow smugly. "He's fast. Ordinary vampires really would have no way to deal with him, but unfortunately, I'm not an ordinary vampire.
